About this ebook

My poetry collection started about thirty years ago. I write a poem when inspiration hits me. I stop what I am doing and write a rough draft and develop it shortly afterwards. Many of the poems came to me during valleys in my life and they helped me keep the faith. My purpose for publishing is to share the encouragement given to me by the lord. I always rave an audience. Everyone that reads my work says I should get published. I want to leave something good behind when I leave earth.

Author

Michael Godwin

I am an only child born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. My father was a house painter and my mother was a homemaker. I became a Christian in my early teens. I graduated from high school in 1979 and went directly into the army. I had a car wreck in 1982 and was not expected to live. The lord healed me completely. I deliver mail for the post office. I live alone except for my two dogs. I am mostly a loner and love nature and the outdoors. I enjoy a slow and mellow life.
