What’s Heaven Like?

Here’s a story about a little boy

He loved to go to Grandma’s and Grandpa’s house

The little boy was only six years old

And he loved his Grandpa so much

He felt grandpa always had the right answers

Any time he asked him a question

So he asked grandpa if he could answer his question

His response was I’ll try my best

The little boy asked him this question

How do we know, what heaven will be like

Pap, thought for a moment

Then asked the little boy to follow him

They lived in a very old house

Which didn’t have a basement in it

All it had was a crawl space

A little door opened to get inside

Pap gave the little boy a flashlight

Opened the door to the little crawl space

Told the little boy to crawl into it

And asked him, what it was he saw

The little boy crawled into that crawl space

And told Pap just what he saw

Pap I see all types of crawling creatures

And spider webs hanging all around

And Pap this place is so scary

I don’t want to stay here to long

For it’s not a pleasant place

Pap I’m coming out right now

The little boy crawled out from under the house

And his Pap spoke gently to him

That is what hell is going to be like

Only multiplied over and over again

But Pap I asked you, what heaven would be like

Pap smiled but I had to show you this first

For hell isn’t a place anyone would want to go

It’s so scary you don’t ever want to go there

The little boy looked up to his grandpa

I don’t ever want to go there

But Pap will you answer my question,

What is heaven going to be like?

The sun had just gone down

It was starting to get real dark

Pap took him to the middle of the yard

They laid down and he told the little boy to look up

Then Pap asked the little boy by his side

Son, what is it you now see

The little boy looked up and responded to him

He was excited as to what he saw

Pap I see the big round moon

That is shining so brightly tonight

It’s lighting the fields around me

Yes we can see very far

And Pap there seems to be millions of stars

Some stand out more than others

And Pap some of those stars up there

Seems to be winking at me

The sky, the fields, and all around me

Make me feel so good inside

Can we stay here the rest of the night?

This place just makes me feel good

Pap then spoke with a gentle voice

My son this is what heaven will be like

You will have a peace in your heart

An the beauty will be hard to explain

When each of us get to heaven

Then we will find Jesus there

Yes heaven will be so much better

Than anything you could comprehend on earth

The beauty you saw this very night

It’s just a small glimpse of what heaven will be

So my child, always walk with Jesus

As you live your days here on earth

Yes heaven will be so much more

Than what we saw this very night

So we never want to miss a beat

We must walk with the Lord every day

So son we need to go to bed,

Tomorrow we can enjoy so much more

For everything He’s provided for us

Is for each of us to enjoy

Grandson has your question been answered

Or have I failed to answer it well

The bible doesn’t say a lot about heaven

Yet being with Jesus will make it even better

The grandson responded rapidly

Oh Grandpa you did so well

I can always depend on you

To answer the questions I have

Pap responded back to him

Grandma and I won’t always be here

For one day the Lord will take us

To that heaven so beautiful and fair

Then you’ll have to keep telling others

What you’ve been taught and you have learned

So don’t fail the Lord in all that you do

Be found faithful each day that you live

Oh Pap I don’t want you to leave me

But I know there’s a time for each of us

So I’ll make sure that I’ll be found faithful

So we’ll all meet again in heaven

Salvation

Salvation is not a movement

Which man drummed, up

Salvation has been upon this earth

Ever since this world began

It comes to us in different ways

The first way through sacrifices

Yet it couldn’t fully take away our sins

Until Jesus became the perfect sacrifice

So many believe that salvation

Is not for us today

Or they think they can put it off

Till the end of their life

Many think you get salvation

Because mom and dad belong to the church

Or because you’re born in the USA

Neither one of those will work

Some believe you receive salvation

When you’re baptized as a little child

You just can’t pray over someone

And they receive it just like that

Others believe you receive salvation

When you’re baptized as an adult

When they dunk you under the water

You then become a Child of God

Some believe you become a Christian

At the time you join the church

Yet when you join the church

You’re only joining an organized body

Others believe when you’re born

You automatically are a Christian

So they now can do what they want

And God will receive them into heaven

Many think if they pray the sinner’s prayer

That will make them a Christian

But that is only a half truth

If you don’t mean it, you’re not saved

Salvation isn’t any of these

Salvation was paid for on that tree

Jesus died, then He was buried

On the third day He rose again

Salvation is a free gift

Anyone can receive it, if your heart is open

But if you reach out to receive Christ

You must mean it with your whole heart

If you ask Christ into your heart

By the words in which you speak

If you don’t mean it from your heart

You’ll not be born again

God’s only looking for serious people

Which has the desire for their life to change

From the old life to a new one

Wanting joy to flow right in

God won’t receive a selfish person

That wants to straddle the fence

By believing what they want to

Giving the rest of the time to the world

God, yes, God our creator

Makes it clear to us in His word

That He is a jealous God

He wants our whole heart or nothing at all

The question each must ask yourself

Am I tired of the life I live

Is the life I’m now living

Bringing glory to the Lord Jesus Christ

The Lord can change you from the inside out

Renew your life through and through

Where you’ll have a peace within

And it will not be a false pretense

When you totally commit your life to Christ

Your life will take on a desire for Him

You’ll know that very moment

That you have been born again

You’ll desire to tell others

Of what Christ has done for you

It will then give you a peace of mind

A peace which you’ve never had

Because Jesus has renewed your whole mind

You now desire what he has for you

He now becomes your dearest friend

You’ll begin to share it wherever you go

Stop serving all those dead Gods

The world keeps teasing you with

Then turn your life totally over to Jesus

The one and only true God

Please don’t wait another moment

Then enjoy the best for your life today

This moment surrender your all to Jesus

He’ll welcome you with open arms

Many Think

This is a very strange topic

But it needs to be addressed my friend

For it is important what we think

It is so important to God

Too often people in this world

Especially in the church today

Believe they can pick and chose

Only the things they want from God

That’s why there are so many denominations

Then multitudes of churches within

And multitudes of independent churches

Stretched all around the world

Can every one of them be right?

I’m afraid every one of them has some untruth

And many are lined with untruth

How can we say, they all are right

There is only one truth we can trust

That’s the Holy Word of God

Too often we find one thing in it

And we take it out of context

That thing in which we have found

Now has become so powerful to us

We never totally check the scriptures

Which will prove, we are wrong

You may say, what do you mean by that

Let’s put our thinking cap on

The best way to test the truth you’ve found

Is to write down all scriptures people use against it

You list all the scriptures you use

Then list all the ones others use

Now you are ready to study

Whether your belief is right or wrong

Now it’s time to study the whole counsel of God

How do we need to start?

We need first to go to God in prayer

That He prepares our heart to receive

We need to ask the Lord to clear our mind

Of the way we now see it

And to open our mind to receive

What the Lord will reveal to us

Even if we are proven wrong

In the thinking which we have

We’ll be willing dear Lord to change

And cast aside the untruth we have

Dear Lord this applies to whatever side

Of the question I have before me

For Lord I’m only looking for truth

Not my will, but thine be accomplished

Now dear Lord as I look at this passage

Give me the setting, each passage speaks about

I’ll read many passages before it

And many passages after it

If I dear Lord haven’t read it

With truly an open mind

May I keep reading it over and over again

Until the passage truly jumps out to me

Lord I truly know it’s the only way

I can get the true mind of God

Truly it’s not my will I want

But I truly want your mind dear Lord

When we truly come to that mentality

We’re now open to receive, if we’re right or wrong

For God truly wants to give us truth

So our hearts can be truly blessed

But Lord, there’s one thing I want

More than anything else in life

That you to be lifted up through it

And there will be less and less of me

I don’t want to be puffed up

So that my life will shine

But I want you to shine through me

So heaven will be seen, not me

Now Lord my heart is now prepared

And I know your word doesn’t lie

So I’m open to how it turns out

My desire is to find your will

Be assured God will reveal to you

It may be the opposite of your thinking

Or what your church or denomination has taught you

But remember it’s alright, for you want God’s will

It’s so important to get God’s will

Don’t be afraid to step outside your church

And listen to many other preachers

That teaches things different than yours

Yet don’t fail to be found faithful

To the church in which you attend

For your church is so important

For you to be obedient to God’s word

It’s through getting the thoughts of others

Then going back to the word of God

Once you have proven it totally wrong

Then ask the Lord to totally clear your mind

We’ll find that much, of what we have learned

Is far from the truth of God’s word

For much of what we’ve been taught

Is nothing more than a half truth

How can I say this, with an open mind

I can say God has changed much in me

I thought I was definitely right

When God proved to me, I was wrong

So won’t you talk to the Lord, seriously?

God’s word is always right

But remember the Bible was written to believers

It’s confusing to the ears of the unsaved

Then remember, God’s word never lies

If it lied, we wouldn’t be serving the right God

So we must go to the word with this understanding

We’ll stop picking and choosing, what we want to believe

Then remember the Bible is a living word

It can’t be studied as other books

We must ask for the mind of Christ

That He reveals to us the truth

God will never reveal things to us

Until we stop taking praise for ourselves

And we only search the scriptures

To lift up Christ and no one else

Are you ready, to find truth

Or are you wanting to puff up yourself

If your desire is to puff up yourself

You will never find real truth

Not Everything That’s Bad Is Bad

A child born into this world

Yet death comes to their life

Most say what a tragedy

That God allowed it to happen

Many think that God doesn’t like them

But remember God loves everyone

God thinks in a much different way

Than man does on this earth

A couple reasons God may have allowed it is,

God sees what’s ahead in their life

And God takes them from this earth

Before there accountable for their sins

Others he may take life from them

Even if there a child of God

Because many may come to the Lord

By the tragedy they went through

It could be a dad or a mom

Or a friend along the way

That is drawn to the Savior

Because of the life of Christ they lived

We must learn that God always

Has a reason for what happens in our lives

It’s for us to seek the Lord each day

To find out what Christ has for us

For many people God may hold blessings back

From you having many things

Or even a lot of money

For you wouldn’t know how to handle it

Once you know, the Lord Jesus Christ

And you have little upon this earth

You enjoyed your life every day

Having little trouble along the way

You thanked the Lord for all you had

Even though you had very little

The smallest things you received

You appreciated, every one of them

If you had received a lot of money

Your life would have totally changed

You wouldn’t have enjoyed little things in life

And all the old friends which you had

Now you’re thinking of making changes

Of things you can purchase for your self

Then things would become your idol

Rather than serving the Lord Jesus Christ

The Lord holding things back from you

Is for you, a very good thing

For it keeps your eyes on Jesus

Rather than for you to serve the devil

Let’s look at some which are healed

And others which are not

Does God love one better than another

Or does he have a purpose for your life

God wants us to serve him fully

Through the thick and the thin

Whether we may be healed or not

Christ needs to still be number one

It could be God doesn’t heal you now

Or even your whole life in the future

For he knows you will serve him

Whether you are healed or not

But some may view there healing

As what they have done themselves

And they never give credit to God

For allowing you to be healed

Which may lead you down the wrong road

Yes a road of sin and shame

When if you hadn’t been healed

You may still be serving Christ

There’s another area we need to see

That deals with our Savior above

When he died, was buried, and rose again

Many say what a tragedy it was

They pointed fingers at the crowd

And the officials of that day

Saying that these officials should die

The same death that Jesus did

But remember this was all planned out

By our Lord from the beginning of time

Which was thousands of years

Before Jesus came to this earth

Our dear Lord saw though time

How wicked man on earth would be

So he planned to send his only Son

The only perfect sacrifice for our sins

All the torture Jesus went through

As they drug and tortured Him along the way

Yes on the way to Golgotha

To be killed for you and me

His death was not taken in vain

As so many on earth would think

No, Jesus’s life was not taken

He allowed his life to come to an end

You may say he didn’t have a choice

All odds were against our Savior

But he could have stopped them in their tracks

By calling ten thousand angles

Jesus took a look at you and me

We wouldn’t have had any hope

So he chose to die that you and I

Could be set free from our sins

So he died and was buried

His enemies thought it was the end of him

But during his death he went to hell

And grabbed the keys to the bottomless pit

Then he came back and rose again

Many said it was impossible to happen

But you don’t know the God I serve

The stone was rolled away, and he came forth

They had sealed the tomb, and placed a heavy stone

Which a few men could not move

Then they placed guards around the clock

For He said in three days he would rise again

If he hadn’t kept his word

Of rising on the third day

We could say he wasn’t God

For God always keeps his word

No, coming to Christ isn’t free

As man woman and child wants to believe

For it also costs you dearly my friend

We must surrender everything to Him

No, God won’t accept a portion

Of your life on earth

For if you only give Christ a portion

Satan would still have a part of you

But if you will give Christ your all

Yes surrender everything to him

Your life will totally change

To conform to the things of Him

No you don’t have to give everything up

As man on earth will tell you

But once you surrender your life to Christ

Your desires will want the things of Him

So your friends, which you once had,

Which served Satan, by your side

If they don’t surrender to Jesus

They will quickly flee from you

If you surrender all to Jesus

Meaning it with your whole heart

Your life will soon be surrounded

With people who truly love the Lord

Won’t you surrender to Christ today

Give him your whole heart

You’ll never regret the move

And God will make a place for you in heaven

So Christ going to the cross

Died and then came forth from the tomb

Wasn’t a bad thing, but a good thing

So you and I, could be set free

Counterfeit

Counterfeit is portrayed, in so many ways

It has been used throughout all times

But most do not realize

What is behind those counterfeits

Counterfeits come in many package

They’re driven by Satan himself

If he can deceive you into believing in them

He has you totally in his grips

This world is full of counterfeits

There everywhere in which you turn

Satan has pulled out all the stops

In order to deceive you right into hell

Counterfeits start at the very top

Yes leaders of this world

I don’t say it to make things up

It’s backed by the word of God

Anything which goes against the word of God

Is a counterfeit in this world

Satan starts at the very top

Through them, he can change a whole nation

Things which we buy everywhere

Many of them are counterfeit

They have stolen from someone else

Making things which you can’t tell from the original

There are things which others make

They’re making it much cheaper

Yet it looks just like the original one

So they out sell the original

But as I said at the very first

That it starts at the very top

We have a counterfeit president

Running our nation, yes he is counterfeit

How do we know, he’s a counterfeit president

He doesn’t believe in our constitution

He’s deceiving most people living here

And they accept everything he say

It’s all about a one world order

No matter what our constitution says

He does what he wants to change this nation

Not caring whom he may destroy

He’ll twist arms to force people to vote

For the things against our constitution

Deceiving people into believing

That everything will work out alright

He convinced the leaders to vote for

The health bill filled with thousands of pages

Saying vote for the bill to get it passed

And we’ll deal with the problems later

He deceived the leaders of this nation

To pass the hate bill as quick as they could

Everyone loves doing away with hate

But that’s how he deceived the people

What the hate bill was about

Was to quite the Christians around this nation

Which is totally against the constitution

The Christian, was the only one it was for

Who was behind getting this passed?

Museum’s, so they could advance in this nation

They got just what they wanted

And the Christian attacks are rapidly increasing

Every time they come against a Christian

It plants fear in so many Christian’s lives

So they hold back in teaching God’s word

The churches have become so weak

What Christians must come to realize

The laws of God, supersede the laws of man

And if we don’t follow God’s Holy Word

We will be sent straight to hell

We have a ruthless enemy

Which is out to destroy our lives

He already knows his destination is hell

He wants to drag everyone to hell with him

So many are falling for his tactics

Yes Christians which have surrendered to Christ

There following him one step at a time

Being deceived by the enemy of their soul

Yet the Savior of our soul

Has made a hiding place for each of us

When we truly accept Christ into our heart

We can hide in the arms of God

Yet we still can’t let our guard down

For Satan will deceive you in any way he can

Won’t you stay close to the Savior’s side

Asking the Holy Spirit to lead the way

Yield to the Holy Spirit each step of the way

Don’t push His gentle tugging away

For if we give Satan one inch of our life

He’ll never stop there my friend

He’ll send little things, past your life each day

Things which really doesn’t seem bad

Many times they are only things

Consuming your time, so you don’t have time for Christ

Time to daily read your bible

Yet it multiplies as the days pass by

So you’ll never think anything about it

Until Satan has total control of your life

It starts out so innocently

Then it multiplies as the days go by

So you’ll never think anything about it

Until Satan has your total life

Don’t think one minute that Satan

Can’t snatch you out of the arms of Jesus

Yes Jesus will hold onto us tightly

Yet we ourselves can cast ourselves out

Many get so caught up in their kids

Their minds each day is consume with them

They drown the voice of the Savior out

Without considering that it’s an attack of Satan

So it’s important to set aside time each day

To get alone with the Savior above

So He can speak to your heart

Along with you, bringing to Him your every cares

Be assured Christ will never leave you

But you can, if you don’t keep that bond

With Christ each day that you live

Won’t you stay close to the cross

Yes, people may make fun of you

But remember God said we would be

A peculiar people which serve him

You may say, what does peculiar mean

It means you are set apart

From the ways of this old world

Totally focused on Jesus

The Savior of our soul

We’re not a bunch of weird people

With no one directing our path

But a person which gives Christ all of our life

Spreading the love of God wherever we go

We don’t cave into peer pressures

For, they will lead you down the wrong road

The road designed for Satan and his angels

You surely don’t want to go there

Just the smile we carry on our face

Will bring joy to others we meet

Then they will hunger for what we have

They’ll open the door, by asking us questions

No, Christians shouldn’t carry a sad face
