Through My Eyes - Alesia Payne
Through My Eyes
Through my eyes, I see a world that cries as it slowly dies. I see homeless people on the streets trying to make a living.
Through my eyes, I’ve seen the tears that were cried when a loved one succumbs to the sickness inside. I see the abused continually being misused, and rarely see someone come to the rescue.
And through my eyes, I see the pain of suicide left behind for families to try and figure out why. I see the stain of rape, how it turns to hate, and how the nation has failed to make the broken paths straight.
Through my eyes, I’ve seen many fall for the devil’s lies, and in the end, die without seeking repentance in their lives.
I’ve seen racism deface a nation, and so much life be taken. Through my eyes, I’ve seen Pastors lie, and congregations die.
I’ve seen God’s living Word pushed aside while so many struggle to survive. Through my eyes, I want to see nations rise giving God praise on high.
I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies

Bringing your past into the now keeps you bound to the ground.
Never letting you fully experience the Love of God that you’ve
