Thoughts, Hopes and Prayers - Elliot Eli

    Life

    A man without a plan

    ––––––––

    Uncertain, my life has become.

Frustration is my companion at all times.

Depression is closer to me than any friend of mine.

I have no handle over the life I claim is mine.

How frustrating it is to have no plan.

How depressing it is to be shoved through life,

In it, my worries would hibernate.

    Come dawn the next day,

    My mind would be rejuvenated.

Sleep used to hear my cry

    And bless me with fantasies.

    While reality was tough,

    Good dreams encompassed me.

    When my hope was down,

In my dreams, God prospered me.

    Adulthood is hard

Good dreams hate the older me.

Where I used to find my escape

Has turned to a place of despair.

    It’s to me, a well-deserved break,

    That I
