    Don’t Settle for Mediocrity

    Achieving genuine success requires us to steer clear of mediocrity. To do this, we must consistently strive to reach our maximum potential and enjoy life to the fullest. We can only acknowledge our accomplishments and commend ourselves for a well-done job when we put in the effort and give our best. So let us exert ourselves and always give our very best.

    Success depends on self-discipline and not giving in at the first hurdle or going into a project only half-heartedly. By pushing yourself that little bit further, you will be surprised at what you can achieve. This separates the winners from the losers or the successful from the unsuccessful. That extra push toward the finish line is detrimental to this determination and by welcoming failure onto your journey, you can push through new thresholds on the way to the top.

    Many people claim that they want to achieve success in life, no matter what they do, but only a few are willing to go the extra mile to reach their goals. This is why some individuals are successful in life, while others fail. It’s the ones who push themselves over the thresholds that others stop at that separates those who will succeed versus those who will give up when they fail. The degree of your success is determined by your level of desire and the significance of success to you. Are you willing to succeed a little, or are you willing to go above and beyond to achieve a higher status and be outstanding?

    Initially, we all have great intentions when striving to achieve our goals. We bolt out of the starting line and dash down the straight path. We see the curve and continue our stride until ahead of us we see the mountain towering over us for us to climb. Nevertheless, specific individuals experience a loss of momentum at the initial hurdle not even making it around the first curve. They fail to put in extra effort and become exhausted when things get tough. They don’t pause to catch their breath and rejuvenate their energy. Had they only paced themselves, they would have had the endurance to conquer the mountain that led them to the heights they sought after.
