    Introduction

It is no secret that there can be tremendous power available to you if you practice living with a positive attitude. Many books have been written on this topic, including the blockbuster best seller of all time, Norman Vincent Peale’s book, The Power of Positive Living. That book, although written in 1952, remains valid and useful even in our most modern age. The basic rules of positive living are found in many self-help books; these rules lead to satisfaction of our needs for being cared for and nurtured, protected and sheltered. The bonus you get from positive living is that, once you get past your own troubles, you may be then able to help someone else in some fashion. By helping others, you can stop focusing on your own troubles that may bring you down and prevent you from enjoying life. You are neither helpless nor hopeless; you can control how you respond to life’s problems and change your outlook at the same time.

The best thing about positive living is that you have an endless opportunity to practice it. You can start again and again, day after day, despite all the woes and troubles life throws your way. Take a few moments each morning to set up your positive mindset
