Seo for beginners - Ken Burd

    1. Introduction

There are a variety of factors that determine whether or not your website is ranked as interesting by search engines. A rough subdivision of the SEO measures is OnPage SEO and OffPage SEO.

    On page SEO

Onpage describes all SEO measures that happen on a page, such as adjusting SEO texts or maintaining meta tags, meta descriptions and images with alternative texts. In short, it is about making the site and the content as attractive as possible for the user. If the design is appealing, the user experience is good and fluid, and the content offers added value, then the user likes the site and likes being there. Registering the search engines and page will increase in ranking due to this relevance.

    Off Page SEO

Off page SEO includes the measures that do not take place on your website, such as link building or social signals. Backlinks ensure that users on other pages perceive and click on your website. It's like a recommendation. It is just as valuable if your page is shared on social networks. This increases the reach and visibility and you get more traffic.

But now let's get down to business.

Important rule no. 1: Offer the user a great experience!

    SEO is for people

The search engine helps with this. Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. want to provide their users with the best results and are therefore constantly readjusting their algorithms. The search results that the search engines display for specific search terms or keywords are constantly being adapted to the behavior of the user. In this way, the search engines want to ensure that their results always better match the interests of the user.

This means that the better your website and your content pleases and helps a real human being, the more likely it is that the search engine crawler will give your page a better rating and rank it higher.

Important rule no. 2: Create your content for the user - and keep an eye on the right keywords!

The next chapters show you step by step which factors you should consider when optimizing SEO content. Nowadays, however, these are in no way contradictory, but rather form a perfect symbiosis. If you meet the modern SEO criteria for texts, they will not only please the search engines, but also your real readers.

    2. Keywords: Key to people

    Focus Keywords

You should always optimize the content of a page or blog post for just one focus keyword. Compound words, so-called long-tail keywords, count as one keyword.

You should only write one post
