About this ebook

This book is about how I looked at life through my eyes and my heart over the past couple of years--well, many years. We all deal with struggles in our life. It's how we look at things and determine what we see and how they affect us that matter. Everyday situations that come into our life and how we handle those situations make us who we are and what we want to be.

There are some good times and some bad, but it's easy to remember all the good times. Those are the ones that hurt the most when you lose them in your life, but you still hold on to them, wanting to get back there. And you can!

Believe in yourself, and you can get through your situation with help from a true friend. You're never alone!

    About the Author

Iwould like to dedicate this book to those individuals that played a part in every story that is on these pages, especially Deb, who got me through a rough time in my life. She is definitely a true friend! And to Brenda, who made it worthwhile going to the class reunion. It takes great inspiration to be able to write down your true feelings on paper. We all need to have inspiration in our lives, and I know that without mine, I would not be able to write the things that I have written for In My Head, in My Heart !

    Acknowledgments

Iwould like to thank the We Are Inn and RJ's Pub and Grill in Philipsburg for great food and good atmosphere to be able to write. And to 99.5 The Bus for the music that puts my mind where it needs to be to piece everything together, especially for the liner notes!

    Bag of Memories

Igot a bag full of memories and a heart full of sorrow, just hoping I can be around to be able to enjoy tomorrow. The radio helps me get through my day with the music that they play. Sometimes it picks me up to where I will dance; sometimes it takes me down to when I knew when romance was around. It depends on my mood and that thought in my head—which way my mind will take me and which way it will end. My heart has a big part with what goes on in my head. They both need to work together, but that's dead. They both want the upper hand in my life. They battle it out—who has the upper hand is always in doubt. When you read my thoughts, it will be clear which one is winning and which one is at its end. But it can change with a song or that thought in my head.

That totally went wrong. I've carried this bag for many years with thoughts in my head. And I have shed many tears to write what is in my head and put it in my book. It must be very special; just take a look. The papers I scratch everything down on are like thoughts in my head I've scattered all around. It's a little bit here, a little bit there, but when I listen to music, it all becomes clear. I organize what I write and jot it down. Maybe it will find its way to your heart or your soul. I'm hoping it won't bring you down but make you whole. So I have this bag with everything in my mind and my heart, searching for someone that plays a part with your life and looking for a new start!

    Friend

A person one likes and socializes with—sympathizer, helper.

What is a friend? You read the definition, now what is the meaning of being a friend? Everyone has their own opinion. A friend should be true and honest with you even if they disagree with what you say. A friend will lend an ear as well as a hand to get you through some hard times. A friend can be by your side and not say a word and make you feel better, knowing they are there for you. A friend will never let you down but will be there to pick you up no matter how bad it gets. A friend will laugh and cry with you in the same breath and will understand the pain you are going through. A friend will tell you when you are messing up and are messed up. A friend will hold out their hand and pick you up at your lowest point to give you a hug because they know and feel you need it at that point. We don't need a lot of friends in our lives, just true ones.

So what is a friend? Someone who is very special in your life, and you'll know because your heart will tell you so.

    What Is Love?

Is it a feeling? Is it something you say to someone? It is if it has meaning, and that comes from your heart, not you mouth. Love is hard to describe, but you can definitely feel it without saying a word. It is that look. It is what you feel inside when you're with that special someone. You touch
