Poetry
I told her I was into poetry and she said so am I.
I was taken back at first.
I hesitated, but I asked if she could share a couple lines.
I don’t know if you express the same feelings as mine, but I write when I can’t verbally express the feelings I keep inside.

Like how I wish I could rewind time to hear my brothers voice again.
Or how sometimes I feel like I have some demons deep down within.
I know this is new to us, but I never want to leave you in the blind.
I know myself better than mind, body, and soul.
I keep a lot of emotions pent in.
And without this pen,
I tend to implode into a deep hole of emotions one can call depression.
I just hope I haven’t given you the wrong impression.
