Food Is Medicine Junk Food Give Away - Roditch

    Introduction

Most modern people in the world spend a fortune on medicine and beauty projects and get a minimal return. A much better alternative that can save you money is creating a home medicine plan and sticking to it. Food is your medicine is an adage that goes back in time and is more relevant now than ever before. It is just a matter of knowing the true value of each food and incorporating it into your diet. In this book, we will look a bit deeper into the health benefits of food and herbs that will help you live a long and disease-free life without spending an extra dollar.

It is important to increase the good foods and decrease the bad ones. If you truly love yourself and your family, you will treat your body like a temple and not a garbage dump. The cliché eat to live and not live to eat should be your mantra while you are weaning yourself off baby feel-good foods and onto superfoods. Yes, it is much better to be a superhero than a dumpster.

This book is a good start because I want you to be strong and healthy, disease-free, and super. For the last 10 years, I have had a tablespoon of herbal powder that includes ginger, turmeric, Andrographis, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon every morning. This is a cheap and easy way to reduce inflammation, reduce weight, thin your blood, and be virus-free. I also like to use coconut or olive oil, drink lemon water, and eat fermented foods like Tua Nao. So far, so good. Touch wood, I am feeling healthy for a 70-year-old.

You will already use many of the items in this book for the same reasons I do. Green tea, organic coffee, and some common herbs like mint, chili, and garlic I recommend you use most of the foods and herbs in this book in any given week and reduce your consumption of junk food considerably. The crazy thing about many of us humans, including me, is we like to eat crap food to make us feel better when healthy food does that. The constant cravings for sweet and salty food, just like smoking and drinking, with a few exceptions, are sending us to hell before we die. It is your decision.

The decisions you can make to lengthen your life and reduce the pain of medical intervention, both physically and monetarily, are made much easier if you follow this book because all it is doing is turning the clock back a few years. Back when food and medicine were in the hands of farmers and mothers and not huge factories and pharmaceutical corporations that wanted all your money,

There is no specific order in this book. You can flick through it and choose the things you can do and get easily, and then build your daily routines on that solid foundation. I would say that the most important things to consider are eating food that is organic, locally grown, and in season; drinking pure water; consuming turmeric and a pinch of black pepper; and cutting out junk food and snacks that are just memories of childhood birthdays.

    Tea

Normal black and green tea is an herb that comes from the plant Camellia sinensis. It boosts your immune system, helps reduce inflammation, and prevents cancer and heart disease. It also lowers cholesterol and helps you lose weight.

The leaves are picked from the camellia plant and dried. The natural leaves are green tea, and the fermented leaves are black tea. They both have similar benefits. England’s favorite beverage is black tea. People use it as a pick-me-up and as a polite offering to guests. Many countries in Southeast Asia drink green tea and use it for much the same purposes. If you live somewhere where coffee is more popular, then you should consider drinking tea as well, because it has different beneficial effects on your body.

The normal way to make black tea is to put a tablespoon or so of dried leaves in a ceramic teapot, fill it with boiling water, and let it sit for five minutes. Then, pour the tea into beautiful ceramic cups that are accompanied by a saucer and a teaspoon. Most people add a dash of fresh milk and sugar as desired. If you prefer black tea, then you don’t need as many leaves in the pot.

Green tea, especially in Asia, is made much the same as black tea but uses fewer leaves. In places like Japan, it is common to use small ceramic cups and sip a little at a time.

So, there are many benefits to your health from drinking tea. This is a wonderful way to start your home longevity lifestyle. Drinking tea every day will make you healthier and keep you young. There is also the added benefit of reducing stress. In our crazy, fast-paced lives, there is no better way to reduce stress than to have a cup of tea and a whole-wheat cookie with friends. The tea allows conversations to drift into every topic that is on your mind and that of your friends.

The Japanese tea ceremony is a good example of the power and benefits of drinking tea. Stress is the number one killer in this century. Reducing stress is as important as getting junk food out of your life. Two simple steps—stopping junk food and reducing stress—will make a huge difference to your health and well-being. The main purpose of the tea ceremony is for guests to enjoy the hospitality of the host in an atmosphere distinct from the fast pace of everyday life. Without playing with smartphones and talking negatively about others, a ceremony is a form of meditation and relaxation.

Sidetracking a little bit into the psychology realm for a minute, the use of smartphones, especially among teenagers, has become an epidemic of addiction and mindlessness. Like you, I have experienced weird behavior while watching YouTube shorts. Our daily mind loves to hook onto endless chatter to avoid the truth of our existence. Years ago, it was alcohol and drugs. Now it is TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. These are cheap and are not controlled by money, time, or age. Ask yourself what the future holds. When is enough digital poison enough? Being an older person, I remember life before the internet and smartphones. time spent reading, surfing, playing guitar, and playing chess my own home out of recycled materials, growing vegetables in deep layers of chicken spit, and galloping my horse through an endless forest One cup of tea may be enough to break the digital spell so you can get back on your horse and live a real life.

    Coffee

Drinking black organic coffee has numerous advantages, including stronger muscles, a cleaner liver, and a lower risk of developing cancer. Scientists have discovered that good-quality coffee, chocolate, and wine are very good for health and longevity. Good quality is the operative phrase. organic, natural, and fresh. This does apply to everything in this book and your new longevity program; it makes all the difference.

Coffee has similar social benefits to tea as well as many health benefits, especially if you talk about meaningful things and not how much money you just made on Instagram.

There are a lot of scientifically proven benefits to drinking one or two cups of coffee a day. They include a significant reduction in heart and coronary disease. Coffee also reduces your chance of a stroke, getting diabetes, and kidney disease. Research shows that coffee drinkers are more likely to have liver enzyme levels within a healthy range than people who don’t drink coffee. Dark roasted coffee decreases breakage in DNA strands, which occur naturally but can lead to cancer or tumors if not repaired by your cells. You are also 26% less likely to get colorectal cancer. And you are less likely to develop dementia or have a stroke.

An ideal amount of coffee is 1 to 2 cups a day. Too much can cause an increase in heart rate and anxiety and raise your blood pressure.

You need to use the best coffee beans and grind them fresh.
