About this ebook

You want to spend life in health rather than bedridden with fever and pneumonia. This book will help you kick the flu habit to become virus- and disease-free forever for a long, strong life.

Fifty thousand years ago, the human established itself as a plant-eating herbivore and was never meant to be a carnivore (meat eating) or omnivore (meat and plant eating). It is plants that provide an alkaline pH value of health.

The pH (acid-base scale based on measure of hydrogen-ion concentration) of a baby’s blood is alkaline. No bugs, disease, virus, bacteria can live in an alkaline body; bugs need an acidic host to survive. It is their job to destroy their host and return it to the forest soil; all diseases are scavengers and disposers of sickly acidic organisms.

Through the industrial revolution, humans have lost this truth of an alkaline, homegrown, organic fruit-and-vegetable diet by replacing it with processed, factory-made items that are acidic, lacking in nutrition, full of sugars and dangerous chemicals. This may be the cause of present-day diseases.

Alkaline diet maintains a healthy, strong, antivirus, antidisease body as designed by the Creator.

There are twenty-nine other concepts that are needed to maintain a strong immune (disease-warriors) system in addition to alkaline eating. Health requires a balance between physical alkalinity and mental and spiritual well-being.

Nutritionists and medical authors have confirmed that a “clean body” (alkaline) is required to be disease-free and only in a “dirty body” (acidic) can diseases, viruses, and bacteria survive.

Only you, the reader, can confirm this truth by adopting an 80 percent fruit and vegetable diet. This book explains the why and how in order to help guide you to achieve a strong body and, ultimately, a long life by fooling the flu forever.

    Introduction

Fool the flu that puts you into bed with a high temperature, nausea, aches, and a bucket of mucus and, for some, several times a year. I am talking about any virus and bacteria around that love to make our human bodies home and our life miserable for a few days or to kill us.

There is a simple easy antidote and preventive method to not ever get sick again from influenza virus and other bacteria. This is information that is not taught at medical schools, it seems, for I have yet to meet a doctor who talks green (eating a nutrient-rich diet) or promotes an alkaline-based diet.

Our body’s blood is alkaline when we arrive to earth as a baby. Doesn’t that tell us something? The creator designed the baby’s body to have the extreme chance to survive its new environment. That environmental survival kit is the maintaining of an alkaline blood system your entire excursion on earth. This book will explain how and why the alkaline diet is so important in order to have health and super health up to the day you die; at the same time, you may experience being disease-free.

It took me forty years of trial and error on my quest to never be sick again in bed with influenza, fever, mucus overload, and nausea. The truth to true physical health was there all the time in my face—the predominant eating of vegetable and fruits: natural, organic, and fresh. An alkaline diet will maintain an alkaline blood system, a smile on your face with high energy, and stamina in your muscles. Along with the explanation of the alkaline diet, this book recommends several other lifestyle choices that are important to maintain proper balance in your body for flu-free health. All aspects of your living contribute to your wellness or illness.

The eureka moment of mine (of the benefits of fruits and vegetables) was so life changing that I had to share it with this book. On my quest starting in 1970, I discovered, to my joy, research affirming my conclusions from my own experimentations of diet. Now today in 2019 there is great abundance of talk and teaching about the lifesaving benefits of having an alkaline diet.

Do you choose health and energy to do what you want? Then choose the truth as to how the creator designed humans: eating an alkaline diet of mostly fruits and vegetables.

You will fool the flu forever!

    Reminder Thoughts

    The Wellness Creed

    for a Flu-Free Life

In order to attain my highest potential for health, wealth, success, and fun in this life on earth, I will maintain the following habits:

An alkaline diet of 80 percent fruits and vegetables.

    Regular medical and dental exams.

Think positive every moment of the day.

Live consciously in the moment and present.

At least thirty minutes each day of aerobic exercise.

Communication awareness of my god self.

Equal balance and attention to my physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, financial selves and my relationships.

Gratitude for all that I receive.

    Daily financial budget/money management.

    Service to others.

    Process emotions daily.

    Love myself deeply.

    My Definition of Vigorous Health

    Physically,

I want to run and use every muscle. My eyes are clear and sharp. I do not get tired easily and have deep and long stamina (breathing). If I do heavy work using my muscles, I am easily rejuvenated after a short rest. No congestion in my lungs or sinuses (my key to stamina) and no cramps in my muscles after rigorous exercise. I feel youthful and strong. Riding a bike up a hill for three miles without getting tired with no heavy breathing is easily accomplished. Hiking from sea level to one thousand feet by light jogging and with a ten-pound backpack in three hours is also done without burning out with no cramping or loss of stamina and at age seventy. I can work and play in the rain without catching a cold with no running nose, fever, or virus attacks.

    Mentally,

my mind is clear, and I can think quickly.

    Spiritually,

I feel balanced and in tune with all that I do. Everything flows easily in my physical, mental, financial, emotional, and spiritual living. My ability to be intuitive is evident.

    Vigorous health,

the state of being where one’s physical, mental, and spiritual bodies are in balance with one another and operating at peak efficiency, the way the body was designed. One is able to perform physical, mental, and spiritual acts with ease and, at the same time, gain a sense of pleasure from doing so.

    Affirmation

I am in healthy balance physically, mentally, and spiritually, all day, every day, in every way.

    Trail to Health No. 1

    You Are What You Eat

Your body functions or does not function by what you put into it through your mouth, nose, ears, skin, etc., all the doors of entry. Put in junk food¹ and the result will be a junk body.²

What are good foods and junk foods that affect your body positively or negatively? That basically is for you to decide, for each person has a different metabolism (the way the body uses food to provide the proper functioning of its organs), and one may have an allergic reaction to certain foods. But there are basic principles that may be gained from reading and experimenting on one’s own. Scientists are working at this moment on our need for food; you can learn from them.

I have followed the principle that if it is from nature, then it is most likely beneficial, and if it is man-made (artificially produced to mimic nature or realtering nature, inorganic), then it is likely to be harmful (because I’ve seen it happen to myself for fifty years).

I embrace food, air, and water that are from pure nature, organic, the way nature has produced it. I try to eliminate from my life anything that is produced or manufactured in the way of foods by human beings (food technology ) and especially through the use of added chemicals (the mimicking of nature’s chemicals).

My ideal is to grow my own fruits and vegetables in a home garden to ensure organic, fresh, off-the-vine produce that is guaranteed to still have the life force of energy from the sun.

Chemical additives, preservatives, and coloring added to foods³ are what I do not want. I am careful about the air I breathe and the water I drink. A phobic reaction to negative foods and environment is not what I have, but I am consciously aware of the presence and possible negative effect on health that these items may cause. I hope you would be too! I have experienced how superior, natural, untouched, raw, fresh foods are and will choose no other.

Our body has been designed through evolution to survive healthfully on foods that are provided abundantly by nature: fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and herbs.⁴ It is up to you to find and nurture these foods; they are readily available if you look.

The human body can only function on the combination of organic⁵ chemicals that are produced naturally and have been for fifty thousand years⁶. The body dysfunctions and becomes dangerously sick quickly if one puts into one’s mouth the inorganic chemicals that are produced unnaturally in a human laboratory.

You definitely are what you eat!

Summary of You Are What You Eat

Only you can decide what foods are good for you and what is not.

If it is natural, it is most likely beneficial or alive. If it is man-made, such as being processed or altered, it is most likely to be harmful and dead as to nutrition value.

The ideal is to grow one’s own organic food in order to guarantee freshness and wholeness.

The human body was designed over fifty thousand years ago to survive on a plant-based diet.

    Reminder Thoughts

O Health! O Health! The blessing of the rich!

    The riches of the poor!

Who can buy thee at too dear a rate,

since there is no enjoying this world

    without thee?

    -—Ben Jonson, Volpone, II, I

¹ Junk foods: foods that are old, processed, acidic, overcooked, and full of man-made chemicals.

² Junk body: diseased, low stamina, low energy, sickly.

³ Additives, preservatives, and coloring added to foods are for the convenience of sales, not for health, although it has allowed a great abundance of food for the world hungry.

    Trail to Health No. 2

    Mucus-less Diet

The bottom-line basic for continuous vigorous health

Mucus is a substance in the human body, consisting of a white color in the healthy state with a liquid, sticky texture. It lines the organs of the body providing lubrication and other important functions such as the capture of bacteria and foreign substances in order to help maintain an alkaline environment.⁷ It is a necessary substance for our health, acting to reduce friction and the capture/removal of toxins as foods, blood, and air travel through the organs. A common term is phlegm.

The eating of inorganic,⁸ processed, acidic junk foods produces excess mucus in our bodies because it is the job of mucus to remove toxins and acidity. The more toxins and acidity, the more mucus is produced to do its very important job.

The excess mucus has to be removed from the body, or all systems will start to slow down from the overload. It causes one to be sluggish, tired, with high blood pressure, etc. because now the body has to work harder to route its traffic of food, waste, blood, and oxygen through the pipes and byways filled with excess, clogging mucus. When excess mucus reaches a critical state, the body will force one to get a rest in bed in order to bring the body’s mucus (and body itself) back into balance and health as the excess mucus attempts to remove itself from the body with its captured toxins. It removes itself from the body through the nasal, coughing, bowel, urine, and skin. If the excess mucus is not removed from the body, the result is continued sickness and disease.

The herbalist John Christopher says 90 percent of all diseases are caused by excess mucus (which is never eliminated) and the resultant congestion and constipation.

When one is sick with aches, colds, coughing, running nose, fever, it is the body attempting to eliminate the excess acidic toxins in the mucus; 911 has been called by our body to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and overacidic foods through the cleaning mission of mucus. It is do-or-die time: you must clean out and return to health, or get weaker and let disease be the winner and you the loser.

The marvelous machine of our body requires efficient, by the second, intake of oxygen and food, and the elimination, by the second, of waste and dead cells. Anytime this process is slowed down, we have gridlock, which is not enough oxygen and nutrients to supply food and energy to the cells and dead material that sit and become toxic and poisonous. It is now bedtime: one is sick in bed, weak, and helpless, eliminating mucus. This is good; this is healing time.

And what does one do when receiving a healing after eliminating the excess dead mucus and is back on one’s feet? Why, hopefully, one would not return to what caused the sickness (such as acidic, junk, processed foods) but provide good insurance to health with a mucus-less, alkaline diet.

For optimum health, one needs to eat foods that are easily assimilated¹⁰ (taken in and used) and eliminated (wastes) by the body. These foods are alkaline, fresh, organic, raw fruits and vegetables, seeds, nuts, fish, and as the herbalist Christopher says, low-heated grains.¹¹ These alkaline foods do not cause excess mucus. Other foods may also be important for health that are acidic and are a secondary portion to one’s diet such as dairy and grain. This will be discussed further in the chapters
