About this ebook

''It is important to remember that suicidal thoughts and feelings are temporary and that there is hope for recovery. It is also important to recognize that these thoughts and feelings do not make you a bad person or weak. Preface

Reach out for help. Talk to a trusted friend or family member, or call a suicide prevention hotline. In the US, you can reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.

Seek professional support. Consider talking to a mental health professional, such as a therapist or counselor. They can help you work through your feelings and develop coping strategies.

Take care of yourself. Make sure you are getting enough sleep, eating well, and engaging in activities that bring you joy. Exercise and spending time in nature can also be helpful.

Develop a safety plan. If you are in imminent danger of harming yourself, have a plan in place to keep yourself safe. This might include removing any weapons or other potentially harmful objects from your home, or making a list of trusted people you can call for help.

Find ways to cope with stress and negative emotions. Some people find it helpful to express their feelings through writing, art, or music. Others find it helpful to practice relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing or meditation.

Seek out support from others. Connect with others who have experienced similar feelings. Support groups can be a great source of comfort and understanding.

Remember, it is okay to ask for help when you are struggling. You are not alone, and there is hope for recovery.
