The Baby Weaning Bible - Mia Guzman
Introduction
So your little one is ready to be weaned? There is no empirical data on how long a child should be breastfed. It is important to remember that you must decide for yourself, depending on what is best for your child and what you expect from the process. So, where can you get help?
There is no time limit on the process of baby weaning. Children should be encouraged to determine for themselves what they need, rather than rely on what a friend says.
Should you wean your infant right now? This is one of the most frequently asked questions to a pediatrician, and there are many different theories about this process.
A child is fed approximately ten thousand times for their first five years. Most of the time, we base our child's feeding on what we see on social media or search the internet without consulting our doctor, which leads to incorrect information or puts our child's health at risk.
Being a good parent means being aware of your child's nutritional requirements. Your child needs proper nutrition. Breastfeeding makes a child feel safe, secure, and comfortable in your presence. The first few months are all about your baby's developmental milestones. It's important to talk to your doctor about them.
Many mothers need help knowing when to stop breastfeeding. A key sign of readiness is when the baby can sit upright and reach forward with both hands. It may occur before or after six months of age.
There is no proof that a longer breastfeeding period is harmful to a child. The child gets what it needs. Even if you breastfeed your child only once a day, there is an advantage.
According to statistics, about 20% of infants in the United States are still breastfed at six months. If your baby is no longer satisfied with the milk, you can increase the amount of milk, knowing that it can provide the necessary nutrients compared to solid food. In many European, African, and Asian cultures, babies are breastfed until they are at least 2 years old.
You should find someone else to assist you in this area if you don't trust your child's health care provider. Regardless of your child's age, you should be clear about what they need at this time. Again, consult your doctor about breastfeeding just to be on the safe side. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, infants should be breastfed until they are at least 12 months old. However, this does not mean your doctor will recommend it.
There are a variety of ways to remove breast milk from your child's diet. Providing you find one that works for you, all of them should be considered viable options.
Some children want to continue breastfeeding for various reasons. We all know
