Being Pregnant
Being pregnant can be the most wonderful experience of a woman’s life. With a lot of hope and expectations, a woman spends about 9 months, to see her newborn baby. While waiting for 40 weeks might seem frustrating, with all the pregnancy symptoms bothering you time to time, the joy and the hope of holding your baby in your arms will always lift you up. It is the maternal strength which you will gain during this period will help you stay strong during any odds throughout the pregnancy. Although the journey of pregnancy can vary from person to person, all women expect to have a healthy pregnancy and a happy nine months.
How does pregnancy happen?
Pregnancy is a pretty complex process which has several steps. The first step of pregnancy is known as ‘fertilization’ and occurs when a sperm meets up with an egg. In a healthy pregnancy, this takes place in the fallopian tube, within 12-24 hours of egg release (ovulation). This fertilized egg is then traveled to the uterus (womb) and is attached to the internal layer known as endometrium
. It takes about 7-12 days for this process to take place.
Implantation of the fertilized eggs leads to release
