FALSE BREASTFEEDING WILL NEVER HURT

If breastfeeding is hurting – something is wrong! While it’s not supposed to hurt, an incorrect latch or a nipple that has thrush can cause discomfort. Often when a latch is correct, it may be that you’re getting used to the feeling of the baby suckling from your breast. Letdown in the early days can also be uncomfortable. A visit with a lactation specialist or the clinic can sort the problem quickly. Education is key! Be sure to take a breastfeeding class while you’re pregnant.
