- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I liked the book. It is short, but enough explained. It starts with breast milk or formula with an accent on breast milk. Then it moves on to baby led weaning. It even has small recipes. It is a good start to educating yourself over baby's food.

Introduction
The First Year—The Most Important Year
THE FIRST YEAR IS VERY big for those so little with most impacts come along together. And it’s also the most exciting and overwhelming for new moms.
Take growth, with a typical doubling of birth weight in the first 20 weeks, and a tripling of birth weight by the first birthday. Length (or height, by the time your child is standing at a year) has increased by perhaps 50 percent, and brain growth (as roughly measured by head circumference) has increased by 30 percent. One-year-olds are already 40 percent of their adult height, and their brain are nearly 80 percent of adult size. Parents have tremendous influence over how well this happens by providing for their infant’s physical and emotional needs, keeping their child safe and healthy, and facilitating early learning.
This all sounds like a huge responsibility—a job for a professional. This new stage in a baby’s life can be a daunting time for parents, as they try to get it right.
In writing this book, I have tried to unpack the science and psychology that are behind dietary recommendations, by providing simple and practical advice and suggestions for parents. Where there any areas of debate, I’ve included details so you can make an informed decision about what to do.
I will cover both baby-milk feeding and baby-led weaning for the first, and the most important, year in your child’s life. There’s much more on making breastfeeding and formula feeding work, as well as food allergies, spitting up, choking, and supplements you may be wondering about. It also contains 100 fully tested recipes for various stages and styles of weaning, providing a progression of flavours and textures. These menu plans have been designed to provide a great balance of different vegetables, fruits, fish, and meat, so that your baby has wide exposure to nutritious foods.
Of course, you don’t have to follow the feeding tips rigidly. They are just there in case you want clear guidance, or you may prefer to use them for inspiration or ideas. No matter which methods we choose, the final aim is the same—to have our baby eating well, and to build a foundation for good eating habits for their future life.
So, I wish you fun with your little one on this exciting journey and hope that this book will help you on your way.

Breastfeeding or formula?
YOU’VE BEEN WAITING so long to welcome your little one, and finally it’s almost time. You may be excited, nervous, or worried, with these complicated emotions, the first choice you have to make for your baby arrives: breastfeeding or formula?
Not to worry, let’s check the benefits for breastfeeding and formula.
Breast milk is the best food for baby. If you're still confused about that, here are some of the reasons of why:
1. Breast milk is custom-made for you baby.
It contains at least 100 ingredients that aren't found in cow's milk and can't be synthesized in the laboratory. It changes constantly to meet a baby's needs, even tasting different depending on what you've been snacking on. It just custom-made specially for your little one.
2. Breast milk is a tummy soother for your baby.
The protein and fat in breast milk are easier to digest compared to formula, especially for a new baby's digestive system. It’s even easier to keep down and expel out. Breastfed babies are less likely to have tummy troubles and almost never become constipated.
3. Breast milk is naturally safe.
It's from your breasts by you, prepared 24/7 with love for your baby, and never becomes expired, contaminated, spoiled or recalled. On other hand, babies are almost never truly allergic to breast milk, but about 2 to 3 percent of babies have an allergy to formula.
Breastfed babies fill their diapers with sweeter smelling mess, that also less likely to trigger diaper rash, for a sweeter bottom line.
4. It's an infection fighter.
Breastfed babies will come down with fewer, colds, ear infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and other illnesses than bottle-fed babies, and are even more quickly to recover with fewer complications.
5. Breastfeeding appears to slightly increase a child's IQ, at least through age
