Named one of the Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida and an Outstanding Young Alumnus from the University of Florida, Dr. Megan Weigel is a nurse practitioner specializing in wellness and disease prevention at her practice, First Coast Integrative Medicine. After leading yoga classes for people living with Multiple Sclerosis, Megan realized something bigger than traditional medicine was at work in the body's healing process. She pursued an integrative medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona and shortly after completion, started her own integrative medicine practice. Megan is an advocate for the importance of one's personal story, the search for meaning and the value of relationships in the healing process. She uses acupressure and other integrative therapies to guide patients in this process. She finds her own healing in the stillness of writing, in the movement of yoga, running and surfing, in travel and in service to her community. Megan is a nationally known speaker about wellness and MS care. Her most recent adventure is the launch of the online mindfulness subscription and bestselling book, Monday Mantras with Megan, an approachable and lighthearted dive into mindfulness.
