Hello, I am so happy and grateful that you found your way to RISE! I wrote the meditations included in this book over many calm, stress-free, and beautiful mornings. I emphasize these words because in the past, calm
, stress-free
, and beautiful
would not be how I typically described my mornings. Beautiful
maybe, but more along the lines of beautiful chaos.
Just a few years ago, I was one of the millions of people tumbling out of bed in the morning to the sound of my blaring alarm clock, racing to check my phone or send an email, hustling to get my kids to school on time, struggling with stress-induced illnesses, and I was feeling overwhelmingly disconnected, exhausted, and burnt out. Basically, my days felt completely out of my control and I reached a point where I knew something needed to change, quickly. I enrolled in a 6-week meditation teacher certification course with Unplug and Davidji and it is where I discovered the magic of meditation. Now,
