    Introduction

My friend, you are about to embark on a journey of no return. As I say to my clients in my workshops and in my private sessions, what you are about to learn cannot be unlearned.

So if you really want to change and live a life fulfilled, stay with me as I take you through the pages of this book, The Grateful 3 Approach To Life. I’ll share with you stories from my own life, as well as some of my clients’ lives, and how this changed their future and helped remove blocks standing in their way to achieving a level of success they had only ever dreamed of.

Within these pages, I’ll show you what I teach my clients: how to learn and apply the simple, quick, three-step approach in your own life so you, too, can start living your full potential immediately.

I don’t want you to think, Oh, no, not another long, drawn-out process of complicated strategies and systems. On the contrary; you don’t have to fit yet another big job into your ever-growing to-do list. Instead, what I’m going to share with you are three simple yet powerful steps you can apply in your life anywhere, at any time.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a mother, business owner, entrepreneur, or student. These three steps are the secret to creating lasting improvements in all areas of your life: health, family, relationships, business, career, and finances.

The lessons you’ll learn in this book will improve your life, starting today. In small ways, you’ll notice yourself becoming more confident and attracting more opportunities in health, wealth, and happiness.

But first, let me introduce myself and share some of my own journey, as it’s why I do what I do and why I am passionate about empowering men and women globally through my workshops, teachings, and private consultations.

I wasn’t always a successful entrepreneur with my own intuitive coaching practice—far from it. In fact, I still catch myself in the mirror and wonder how I got to where I am today.

I’ve studied numerous people and their different techniques on how to flip the mind script over the years, and I’ve distilled the information into three easy-to-use steps for massive results. You only have to make small changes to your daily routines by interrupting the train of thought (or energy) and redirecting yourself onto a path to improved health, wealth, and abundance. And the moment you start using this method, you’ll see improvements in all areas of your life.

The reason for its success is that when something is easy to apply, you’ll do it often. And repetition is the key to success.

In the upcoming chapters, I’ll share my story about how I went from total fear and debilitating anxiety to becoming a registered nurse, then creating a successful intuitive coaching and teaching business. Within these pages, I share everything I’ve learned and teach in my own practice daily.

These three easy-to-apply steps are what changed my life, and they can change yours too. As I introduce you to The Grateful 3 Approach to Life, I am quickly drawn back in time and reminded of the reason I wrote this book.

I remember my early years with mixed emotions. Growing up in the ’70s and ’80s in Liverpool, England, was often not easy. I was the eldest of six children and the only girl. Money was scarce but love was plentiful, and life with five brothers was never dull.

I was not gifted academically and found reading and writing a struggle. However, I had heightened intuition, empathy, and a great sense of humour, which kept me engaged in school and connected to my friends.

From age ten to fifteen, I attended a strict all-female Catholic school. I couldn’t read, spell, or write correctly, and many teachers and peers told me this was due to my laziness. However, beginning at age thirteen, I worked in market stalls and in a cafe kitchen twenty miles from my home, washing dishes from early morning until late evening, so I knew I was not lazy. So if it wasn’t laziness, what was it? Nobody seemed to have the answer.

What I found out later in life was that I was dyslexic, not stupid, lazy, or disruptive.

Dyslexia was not recognised when I went to school, and some of the most amazing, funny, strong women I know and went to school with were also labelled stupid, lazy, or disruptive. Although looking back, I think many may have had dyslexia too.

At my school, there were five levels of so-called intelligence. Level one was for the clever people, level five was for the not-so-clever people, and then there was level six—my level.

We had around twenty girls in my class. Because my dyslexia made it difficult to read, spell, and fit into the structured curriculum, I was segregated into a group that wove wicker baskets—basket by basket, my self-confidence and belief in myself diminished.

Despite the seemingly straightforward process of weaving baskets, I could not even do this right. My wicker baskets ended up looking like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I remember thinking how stupid I was that I couldn’t even make a wicker basket.

Without knowing how to diagnose us, I honestly think they simply didn’t know what to do with us. So instead, we were left alone on many occasions. It felt to us at the time that we were not considered worthy of the precious time of a teacher.

Being separated from other students and made to feel stupid was my plight until I was allowed to leave school at age fifteen. Throughout my school years, I was not recognised for what I could do. I was only ever judged for what I couldn’t do.

Despite my difficult years in school, I draw strength from this time in my life. I truly believe that spending time in an education system that let so many of us down gave me a strengthened mindset of determination to never give up. Overcoming so many challenges at an early age made me the person I am today.

On my last day of school, I made my way to the office to say goodbye to one of the teachers with whom I had enjoyed spending time. However, she was not in the office at that time. Instead, another teacher was there. I’ll never forget the way she looked at me or the mocking tone in her voice as she said, You, my girl, will never amount to anything. You’ll probably be pregnant by the time you are sixteen. Tears stung my eyes, but I held them back. I would not let her see my tears or know how deeply her words cut me.

To this day, I’ve never forgotten her words. But instead of allowing them to make me feel powerless, I used the hurt and anger to propel me forward. With every hurdle I overcame, every new milestone I accomplished, I thanked her for not believing in me, as it gave me the space and determination to believe in myself.

The emotion gave me motion, strength, and courage—and an inner fire to fuel my determination to make a difference in the world.

I grew up not understanding how to overcome the challenges
