INTRODUCTION

Full of amazement, I sat on the couch feeling peaceful, looking out past the large kitchen and dining room. I could see the green grass with the blue water pool just over the side fence. I was in Diamond Beach Resort where I wanted to be but never expected to be.

This was a far cry from our small room at the hotel we were directed to due to problems with the original holiday booking. Let me take you back to where it all began.

The plan was for a week’s holiday in Broadbeach; a quiet suburb on Queensland’s Gold Coast with easy access to all the fun parks. We tried to get accommodation at Diamond Beach Resort where we had been before, but it was full. Arriving at an alternative place, where we had never stayed before, we were informed they had no rooms. They had organised us to be in a hotel in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, thinking this was what we wanted. How wrong they were.

The hotel was small, noisy and uncomfortable, not where we wanted to be. I had just finished reading The Light Workers Way by Doreen Virtue. As a child she had lost a handbag. Her mother explained that nothing is ever lost in the eyes of God, so ask and it will return. Sounding like an ideal thing to do in this situation, I rang the hotel chain, to get a room in Broadbeach. However, nothing was available; but they would look out for me. It was 3:55 pm in the afternoon, and not likely. So I started saying out loud to myself I have a room in Broadbeach, enjoying it with my wife and son. I started to ask my angels and guides to help me and provide me with what I wanted. I had been taught to ask for things as if they already exist. So I did. I continued asking for a number of hours. I rang the hotel chain again at 6pm but to no avail. All the while saying my statement of what I wanted. Did I believe what I was saying or was I just hoping? I was not sure but I continued anyway.

Next morning I continued to ask and call our hotel chain. Nothing! So it was time for a decision. Do we check out and go elsewhere or do we wait a day. My intuition was telling me that we should wait for a day. We were going to Movie World anyway, so why not enjoy our day and see what happens later.

Standing outside Movie World, in its big open area, my phone rang. It was our hotel chain. They asked if I was still looking for a room in Broadbeach. Of course I was. They asked if I would like to stay at a particular resort called Diamond Beach Resort. A family had to leave and asked if anyone could take it for a week. This was ideal and what we wanted!

It far exceeded my expectations. You see, this was the resort we wanted to get into in the first place, but it was full. We only wanted a one bedroom unit. Instead, this was a house with three bedrooms and a garage. I thanked my guides and angels. I knew they had organised this for us. This experience was a major lesson for me.

Lessons in our life are numerous. You can have them one day and not the next. Some lessons can be fun and entertaining, but some are very annoying, scary and difficult. If you want to have peace and happiness in your life, then you often need to go through these lessons.

Throughout your life you may not think you choose your lessons because it is so difficult, yet once you have learned it you may find more happiness in your life.

You decided on your spiritual lessons before you were born. It is through these lessons you achieve your life purpose and follow your life path. They help you grow and learn to overcome difficulties, so you can help others.

When the difficult lessons occur you often find things are not working in your life. This is an indication something needs to change. But how do you find out what it is and what you need to do? You ask!

Who you ask is very important. There is a story called The Richest Man in Babylon by George Samuel Clason. The scribe was starting to learn how to save money and increase its value. He decided to go into partnership with a brick maker who was going to another country to buy jewels. He was to buy jewels and bring them back to Babylon, sell for a profit and get a percentage of whatever profit was made. Unfortunately it did not go as planned, as the brick maker received cheap pieces of glass which he was unable to sell in Babylon.

The plan did not work because brick makers are good with bricks but know nothing of jewels. So, if you want to find out what lessons you are to learn and what they mean, you need to ask the right person. In this case you ask the spirit world to assist you. They are aware of your life
