Words; The Eyes Of My Thoughts

About this ebook
This book is a cocktail and ecosystem of unconventionality that deals with poetic storytelling centered on dynamics of the emotional basket such as humanity, love, faith, spirituality, tribulations, racism and politics among other things. Dwelled into through a personal poetic prism and perspective to highlight the depth of reality concerning relatable experiences one continues to journey through.
Behind every poem lies a relatability component of real-life events that have occurred and therefore, serve as a clear sign that we are human and are prone to all that life through to us. Despite that, we need to holistically accept the natural process of life to unfold, as it should and its challenges, and address them accordingly meanwhile moving on to new challenges. This was rather established through random and general conversations with different people on wide-ranging issues at the heart of the poems written. One of the reasons that prompted the writing of this book.
Truth be told, I discovered that the entire journey of generally telling stories including mine as well to be amazingly therapeutic, as it forces one to migrate into an unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and comfortable spaces or territories that require all sorts of vulnerabilities to be tapped into. That has remained a mystery for a long time.

Let your birth plant a seed
Of rooted uniqueness
Allow your crawl to cover the earth
From all corners
Permit your smile to brighten the sky
Throughout the day and night
Let your tears flood oceans and islands across the world
For a cause
Authorize your voice to loudly reign high
In all places assumed unreachable

Still blind we are to see and read
Spoken loudly through actions
Yet extremely difficult it remains
For many to analyze, understand and accept
The Voice
I am the voice of the voiceless
I speak in tongues that are foreign to many
Strange as it may be, many still resonate with the message
I speak the truth – My version of it
Perfect I am not at times
Still, that prevents me not
From fulfilling my purpose on earth
I reveal answers to those troubling questions - many find difficult
