Gilden Hawke Poetry - Chris Putnam
A Mirror
Lets look in the mirror
We see our exterior
But blind to the interior
Staring into the eyes opens up fear
The pain we have inside remains clear
The truth is there
Lets face it here
Staring into our eyes in the mirror
Can show
our true fears
Pain of the heart
Love can be easy to fake
Ones heart can be easy to take
Hearts crash with a single flake
Then you deal with the quake
Its hard
To pick the right card
Its easy to play stored
Grap ones and able to through it far
That the reason a good guy fly
Falls into a trap of lies
Closed by feeling we close our eyes
Trying to figure out why leaving with cries
Who in the relationship failed
Cover up the time you bailed
Left one that care is stale
You not throwing me off my new
