Today and the days

We sit and meld

With the stray thoughts

Around us

Sitting in a pool

Of our own consensus

Swimming in the

Thoughts that divide us

Worming our way through

The fallen logs

Between us

Holding this separateness

Almost a perceived emptiness

Connecting to our own

Sense of home

Whether we be houseless

My home is a place

I carry with me.

Where these logs fall

I wriggle into

Their root systems

Standing on hollowed stumps

I feel my toes my

Energetic shell

Extends into the trunk

My skin your bark

Encapsulating

My soft squishiness

Your death-crypt

The forest I grew up in

My life

The sequence you

Fell pray in

To the eating

By insects the reason

Mushrooms must be

Harvested fast.

Each bug a messenger

Of love

Ferrying
