About this ebook
This book is a collection of musings by a wandering soul. It delves into uncomfortable spaces and subjects that are easier left untackled. There is a delicate golden thread that connects these spaces. Some of the musings are on:
- Life and Enlightenment
- Grief, Loss, Sorrow and Sadness
- Love and Cohesion
Ultimately, every experience we encounter is there to teach us something about ourselves and our surroundings. Every experience is there to grow us and push us out of our comfort zone, like a butterfly breaking out of its cocoon.

On life and enlightenment
In every one of us, there is a gift hidden inside of us waiting to be freed.
Flow of life
Is it not amazing how life works? How it functions? We flow as designated by the Master Designer, but we persuade ourselves into believing that it is by our own means that we are, that we survive, that we strive.
We are how we are because we were meant to be as we are! What I am going through or what you are going through at this point in your life is how it is meant to be.
Were we meant to learn from these experiences? In all probability, sure we were.
What lessons are there? Well, that is where it gets complicated and complex because what we are meant to figure out is what the Universe is trying to teach us. I believe the Master Designer of our destinies gave us the intelligence to figure issues out by ourselves, for ourselves and for our own growth. As we figure out the lesson, we progress towards what is meant for each and every one of us. We become as we un-become.
The progression depends on each of us. How quickly we reach what was meant for us depends on how quickly we master the lesson. Figuring out the lesson in each experience is quite tricky most times, and having the sense to know that an issue in your life is a presentation of a lesson to be learnt and being able to recognise this is a blessing. A lot of us go through life without being aware of the series of missed opportunities that could have been translated into lessons.
Maybe life would be less painful if we took each experience – good and bad, ugly and beautiful, evil and angelic – as a learning tool in this curriculum called life.
Life is a journey and not a destination. We make mistakes and we learn to do better. Each day is a gift. Daily, choose happiness. Choose to be a blessing to someone. Choose to fill your cup to overflowing. Choose life, love, family, friendship, courage, prayer, growth, laughter, joy, solitude, contentment, hope.
Joy is not influenced by outward circumstances but by inward contentment. Trust that everything happens as it should, and understand that every dark cloud has a silver lining to it.
Life
This thing called Life
Passes swiftly along
Like a ravenous, raving river
It flows with intensity and so should one
Devour life and be completely, utterly filled with its magnetic, majestic brilliance
Live it with complete passion and intensity
Take no prisoners
Live with no regrets
Laugh out loudly
Love completely
Give with passion
