PROLOGUE
Don’t get me wrong, sis. Not all men with names that are in the Bible are bad. It's just self-awareness and precaution for next time.
This book is a collection of poetry and prose about my experiences in attempting to find love in the wrong places and not on God’s timing. This is me facing all my demons, going through the process of healing my pain and trauma, choosing self-love and putting God first again in my life. Everything you need to know is written between the lines. Although most of this book is addressing certain people, these poems are messages from my heart that I wish to share with you.
I want to give affirmation to people who are hurting because of the experiences that they aren't able to share with anyone else. I want you to know that you are not alone. I have gained the courage to find my voice by turning all my emotions into poems. Writing and self-publishing this book has helped me heal. And I hope by reading it, you can find some healing, validation, and empowerment as well.
You are holding a part of my soul in your hands…
this is for all the broken hearts…
