Damion J. Chandler

After a four-year hiatus, Damion J. Chandler has stepped back into the literary realm on a blazing trail, one poem at time. In between the development of another poetry anthology, he ventured off to assist upcoming creators and advancing authors. In 2022 he introduced Chandler Writing Company. Chandler has also put his foot in other areas of art. In 2020 he launched his own food blog and cuisine influencing business Chef’s Kiss. In 2018, Chandler published his debut poetry collection The Truth About You.

They fell in love

When they first met

And for some silly reason

That was the image I wanted to set

But that was a different place

In a different time

So why did I anticipate

On trying to reincarnate

A love that didn’t even cross the line

But you were the only one I wanted

All those sacred moments

Now my memory is haunted

Of what was supposed to be

I was ready to tell everybody

About what we made it through

But we didn’t even come close to what I thought it was
