Like showing my emotions

Is a high paying crime

All the time I’ve spent,

All the hours wasted

All my feelings on the shelf

All my hidden creations

They will finally come to light

Go past judgment from you

I’m just afraid of the scrutiny

Or the negative reviews

These are my feelings

A journey traveled alone

A glance at my past

Just to see how much I’ve grown

But if I can touch one soul,

Change the perspective of one person

Then deep down I believe

The negativity will be worth it

I can hold at night

The one I can rely on

To keep things right

And when shit goes down,

Or will you up and leave

To get out of town

If I have problems

Can you say things to make things right

And give me ways to solve them

When things ain’t going too good

Like a real woman should

To get off my mind

So I’ll tell you this

From the bottom of my heart

Even though I just met you

Seems like we’ve known each other for a while

I love everything about you

But mainly I love your smile

I love all the silly things you do

And baby I’m digging your style

I see you have much love for me too

By the way you make love to me with your eyes

And baby boy when I’m without you

My heart inside cries

Feeling your energy near me

Keeps my soul alive

I’m sure that what I’m saying isn’t anything new

Just wanted you to know how I felt inside

I saw you with your new girlfriend today

It hurt me deeply, I’m sad to say

I thought I was over you

But that I found untrue

I wanted to cry

As I sadly walked by

I can’t seem to get it through my mind

That you’re no longer mine

I still need your touch

I long to kiss you

I miss holding you tight

And without you I’m not right
