The author was born during the Japanese Occupation. After facing all the hardship during early childhood, he learned the lessons to be thrifty and always save his income for raining days. He did well during in secondary education in Penang and went on to become a professional teacher. During his school days, he was the star basketball player for the school, college, university, state and his country. The journey was long as he spent almost three decades to equip himself with all the knowledge required to be a successful teacher. Being a dedicated and responsible teacher, he managed to climb the ladder of success from teacher to deputy Principal and finally principal. His contributions to La Salle High School are greatly appreciated. During his tenure as administrator, the school went into big expansions and renovations. Many projects both physical and academic were successfully implemented to uplift the status of the school. On the personal level, he was able to contribute in terms of curriculum materials and textbooks to enhance mathematics learning. His working life as a teacher lasted only twenty-three years and during this period, he had written more than twenty textbooks and guide books using the concept of humanizing the teaching of mathematics. All these contributions bring great rewards in terms of wealth and enjoyment. With the financial security he took his optional retirement at the age of fifty-one to further his study. Within three years he was awarded a PhD in mathematics curriculum Development. He continues to write materials for mathematics curriculum innovations. He is also a good investor and a business initiator. All these undertakings have provided his family financial security. He never neglects his health. At the age of seventy-five, he is still in super good health, playing tennis regularly and enjoying his life. He is learning, writing, investing and involving in new experiences like Quantum Jumping. He is determined the make the rest of his life the best of life.

    People who are successful in their respective professions go about doing their work differently. They share many characteristics and habits. This book looks at those who are in their sunset years and wonder why they are still so productive and enjoying their healthy longevity. Do they have a common denominator helping them to be such? Many of them are in their eighties, nineties and even centenarians, they are living a purpose driven life. They are active and healthy carrying out their responsibilities. My observations and my personal experiences reveal that they all have a common denominator I share. What is this common denominator driving them to be productive and happy doing their work? They are masters of their own life. How? They have control over their brains and are hea lthy.

    After a long and tedious research using my own personal experiences in my journey of life, and reading many of their autobiographies, I come to the conclusion that the strongest energy force driving their productivity and their long healthy lifestyle is the productivity mindset. Everything from matter to consciousness is energy. Our thoughts and mindset are a form of energy. The influence and power of such a mindset can be due to the powerful energy emitted by their productivity mindsets. This energy is also helping them to live with vitality and productivity. They enjoy healthy longevity.

    What are the effects of a productivity mindset on their health, their happiness, their connection with others and their wealth? Much evidence, including my own, just reinforces the belief that the productivity mindset has an important influence on all the elements of a life of abundance. I make the assessment based on the definition of a life of abundance defined by me. My view of a life of abundance touches on four common elements: financial freedom, happy, good relationship and being fit and healthy. Living a life of abundance through the activities and actions taken because of the productivity mindset enables them to live a healthy longevity. I share many of my own experiences. I hold the philosophy that you must be the change you wish to see in the world.

    How do I succeed to transform my scarcity mindset into an abundance mindset and eventually develop a productivity mindset? The journey of the transformation gives me a clear picture of a practical way to develop such a mindset. The transformation is accelerated by the habit of daily mindful meditation. I share a drill strategy for the game I played passionately and the self-study strategy I embraced so successfully to achieve the educatinal goals I set for myself. The practical processes appear simple but they require great discipline, consistency, persistence and playfulness to be successful. In the process of implementing the approaches I was able to modify the drill strategy into a Four Steps Interactive Mastery Formula to succeed in mastering the three basics: thinking, speaking and writing. The simple goals and stretch goals I set for myself were crystal clear. In sport, I wanted to be a state basketball player and in life I wanted to be a mathematics teacher. I needed effective strategies to accomplish my goals. These goal-oriented activities helped me to develop my productivity mindset and reprogrammed my conscious and unconscious mind. This is an effective practical strategy not only to change your mindset but also helps to develop your productivity mindset. If you can combine this practical strategy with mindful meditation, you can easily transform your mindset. A productive mindset will make its appearance. You will feel that you no longer have the short stick of your life and leave the victim mode behind for good.

    The productivity mindset is responsible for enhancing your productivity in anything you do and this creates happiness for you. It appears that productivity is happiness. Other reasons why happiness increases productivity are also explored. Research findings simply reinforce this significant relationship between productivity and happiness. The activities in the process of developing your productivity mindset have a great influence on your habits and health. Conversely habits also have certain influence in the development of such a mindset. These observations help to explain why many of the outstanding personalities mentioned in Chapter One and many others still enjoy productivity and healthy longevity.

    If you are religious, you can manifest God’s blessing in your life by developing a productivity mindset to help you adjust the frequency of vibration in your brain. This adjustment is strengthened if you can meditate or pray honestly to alter the frequency to that of God’s frequency for miracles in your life. Many strong Christians believe that Jesus meditated for forty days in the desert to balance in the brain before He got the right frequency to perform His miracles. What is God’s frequency? I don’t know. Being regious you must have faith. Your faith in a productivity mindset and your prayer or meditation will help you develop the right frequency to manifest whatever things you desire. Everything starts in your brain. Another possible way to adjust your brain’s frequency is by listening to binaural beats which help to synchronize your brain to adopt the frequency. Many so-called experts have come out with synch tools with the right frequency for each of your body’s energy centers. Do you trust them? You can try. I trust my own productivity mindset and my simple mindful meditation. I use practical approaches to work towards each goal I conceive.

    Chapter One

    Productivity Mindset Drives Healthy Longevity

    Introduction

    One of the great healthy intentions is to think about what you want to achieve physically, mentally and emotionally. What you think and believe usually attracts your attention and consequently most of the energy flows in the direction. Everything is energy including matter. Our consciousness is also a form of energy. Your productivity mindset and wealth are also energy. Life is energy. Seek a higher vibration energy from friends who are positive. First be aware of your environment and the friends you mix with. Think about it this way. When you put something hot against something cold, the two will work together to come to one temperature. Well, energy works the same way. If you hang out with others who exhibit a lower vibrational frequency, they will temporarily feel a bit better for being around your energy, but you will begin to feel depleted. An equilibrium will be reached and you are one of them. Reading books motivates you and friends with higher vibrational energy influence you. Move as often as possible (play a game regularly) and watch something which makes you laugh. The vibration of laughter not only makes you happy but also is wonderful for healing and health. Be aware of a life of abundance and know how to find such a life. Thinking well will be a great asset. To master your life, you need to learn to control your brain and create a higher frequency of vibration. You will have more energy to pursue your dr eams.

    You are what you think. True! If you think you can do it or you can’t, either way you are right. How does this work? If you think you can’t do it, most likely you will never take action. So the result is obvious.

    Well, as Louise Hay famously taught us, your thought patterns and the words you speak reflect what you think, have an enormous impact on your life. When you have negative thoughts about your body, your relationships, or your self-worth, you don’t feel good, and life mirrors back to you the feelings you have inside. Your words will reveal your thinking. If you think you can do it, you will take action and set a goal. In this way, you are actually creating your life. Experiences tell that by providing service, creating values and giving to others I always feel that I get more than I give. I rejoice at the feeling. Remember that in ordinary life, we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich. As a mathematics textbook writer, my contribution to students’ learning is small but I got rewarded abundantly. The law of attraction reveals that when you give or create values for others, you get more in return.

    Do you think that you can develop an abundant mindset? Remember that a person thinks that he can do it or he can’t, either way, he is right. The purpose of writing this book is to provide information and tools that can help you to make informed decisions, helping you develop a productivity mindset and enjoy your healthy longevity. One of the tools is the power of visualization to help you achieve anything in life. If you know that you need to develop a productivity mindset to be successful in what you do, visualization helps to stimulate all your senses as you imagine the success of achieving the desired outcome. A bigger picture such as living a life of abundance emerges in your vision. You work harder on that dream and the gratification and feeling of achievement in turning your dream into reality. Research also reveals that visualization boosts your confidence, improve your focus, spur your creativity and build resilence. You will see yourself differently. New confidence and self esteem help you to learn that nothing is impossible as long as you believe you can achieve the goals and aspirations in life. Your competence and performance will be enhanced and you will be more engaged in your mission to accomplish your dreams. Visualization will also trigger your clarity of mind and spark inspiration. Unconsciously you are embarking on the path of all possibilities such as developing a productivity mindset and a life of abundance.

    The Common Denominator of Healthy Longevity

    All these world leaders have interesting stories to tell. People like Tun Dr Mahathir became Prime Minister the second time at the age of 94. Sir Ka-Shing Lee, a successful business magnet at the age of 93 is still active. An Australian media tycoon and now an American, Rupert Murdoch at age of 88 is still productive. A Malaysian banker, Teh Hong Piow at the age of almost 90, is still the CEO of Public Bank. What do they have in common? Other than their lifestyle and a healthy diet they follow, they have a common denominator that drives their healthy longevity. Your guess is as good as mine. I strongly believe that the significant factor contributing to their healthy longevity is their Productivity Mindset. The light shed from the characteristic elements of a productivity mindset can awaken seeds within you that want to be germinated and grow to full potential.

    Other than their common productivity mindset, all of them accumulated wealth by gaining the spiritual and psychological understanding of money. They all understand how to turn their passion and talents into a good source of income and grow their wealth. They have strong beliefs to help them effortlessly accumulate their wealth. Do they enjoy healthy longevity? I believe the driving factor is still their productivity mindset. Influence and power can also be powerful factors.

    Remember that everything, from eating habits to your lifestyle and activity, begins in your mind. It’s clear that if you want to master your life, learn to master the brain. Even in my sunset years, I remain active and independent. I am aware that life is energy and energy is life. Doing what I love keeps my energy flowing and it offers a purpose of doing. Gardening, playing tennis regularly and writing offer just that. Writing is my passion. I will trust my guides to help me on the journey I am embarking on in my life at this time. I know that they will lead me to make the correct choices aligned with divine wisdom and my soul path.

    Do I have wisdom? Where is your wisdom? This is just a small litmus test. If you do not grieve for the things you do not have but rejoice for those you have, you are really a wise man. I value what I have. I share many things with others. I don’t envy what others have. What do I have? I am happy with my productivity mindset and I enjoy my life of abundance. A productivity mindset is reflected in the products I created. The number of mathematics textbooks written by me, the series of motivation books emerging and the abundant dragon fruits in my garden together with other fruits. I do not need great wealth but just financial freedom. Of course I want to be happy. My mindset ensures that because productivity is happiness. Good relationships and being fit and healthy as I age will be my greatest wealth.

    Do you believe that everyone is gifted for something, not everything. Are you influenced by people’s comments? Sometimes they may just try by judging a fish to climb a tree. We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something. Knowing your weakness and recognizing your strength makes all the difference to live a life of abundance.

    If you think that you can develop and maintain an abundant mindset, then you can be quite certain to have developed a productivity mindset. What is an abundant mindset and what is a productivity mindset?

    Abundant Mindset

    Before you attempt to develop and maintain an abundant mindset as you age, you need to know what it is. Google gives us a clear picture.

    "An abundance mindset is the idea or worldview that there are enough resources and successes for all to share. This worldview is contrasted with a scarcity mindset, or the idea that there isn’t enough to go around and that each person must guard their accomplishments or resources from others."
