THE RISE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PRINCE
LEADERSHIP IN TELEDOCRACY
Arterton in 1987, defined as "teledemocracy" the new political leadership contemplating the leader in the context of current communication systems. Based on this Fabbrini says that there are two different approaches to the analysis of public opinion: The first interprets public opinion as the object, or the audience of a political show, that is, a "genetic marker" of emotions and ideas that political actors, and, first of all, political leaders, try to colonize using the current electronic means of communication.

THE RISE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PRINCE
LEADERSHIP IN TELEDOCRACY
Arterton in 1987, defined as teledemocracy
the new political leadership contemplating the leader in the context of current communication systems. Based on this Fabbrini says that there are two different approaches to the analysis of public opinion: The first interprets public opinion as the object, or the audience of a political show, that is, a genetic marker
of emotions and ideas that political actors, and, first of all, political leaders, try to colonize using the current electronic means of communication.
The second considers public opinion as an organized sphere of the political system or as an institution that regulates the exchange of ideas, and as such is crucial for the results of party and electoral competition.
It is necessary to clarify that if public opinion is understood as Sartori (2003) does to the independent and active opinion of the public on public issues, the first approximation, precisely because of the passive vision it has of the opinion of citizens, speaks rather public
than public opinion
, the latter concept being used by the second approach.
From the epistemological point of view, there are no political events or facts that can dispense with the observer who interprets them: politics, by its very nature, is hyperreal, that is, it closely depends on the point of view of the person who interprets it, that is, politics it has no objective existence, but is always artificial construction, subjective interpretation, representation from a point of view. Political events are the creations of observers who have become autonomous in relation to their creators and who distort their conscience and dominate their behavior.
Politics lives in their hearts and that is why they are fetishists. The fetishistic nature of politics is not due exclusively to the existence of mass communication, although there is no doubt that this fetishism reached its most evident expression in teledemocracies. Secondly, Edelmann maintains that the political conflict is reduced to the competition between messages; in the most pessimistic interpretation, said competition pulls the public out of its indifference and at the same time prevents it from effective participation in political life.
A FIRST APPROXIMATION: the political spectacle
Thus, it is considered that in teledemocracies a unique link has been established between symbols and rituals, on the one hand, and the apathy of citizens, on the other: apathy is considered the result of both the characteristics of political content and of the nature of the genetic marker
in which that competence is developed (the field
