    Contraindications

    Here are the some of the contraindication that we have extracted from books and manufacturer's manuals. Most of these are a good ideas based on common sense too. This is not a comprehensive list. There could be many other contraindication that are not listed here.

    NEVER treat Eyes.

    NEVER treat Cancer.

    Do NOT treat Thyroid.

    Do NOT treat Tattoo.

    Do NOT treat Very dark skin.

    Do NOT treat a fetus.

    Do NOT treat a patient with Epilepsy.

    Do NOT treat directly over a pacemakers.

    Dosage, energy

    Joule= Watt x Seconds x Duty Cycle

    On continuous mode (cw), the duty cycle is 1

    2 Joule= 0.05 W x 40 sec. x 1 (or e.g. 0.5 W x 4 sec.)

    On pulse mode e.g. square modulation please multiply by 0,5

    1 Joule= 0.05 W x 40 sec. x 0, 5 (or e.g. 0.5 W x 2 sec. x 0,5)

    The surface to be treated and the treatment dose are directly proportional to:

    The treatment dose is increased accordingly.

    (a.) Dosage: 4-Joule total for the designated area.

    (b.)  Dosage: 10-Joule total for the designated area.

    Or reduce the treatment dose accordingly.

    (a.) Dosage: 12-Joule total for the designated area.

    (b.)Dosage: 5-Joule total for the designated area.

    The dose depends not only on the size of the injuries but also on the patient's body composition.

    1.) In the book, we give the dose for an average person,

    if it is 10 joules, for example

    2.).Then a thinner person reduce to 7-8 Joules.

    3. For a stronger physique, raise 15 to 17 Joules.
