WHO WROTE THE BOOK What Every Body Is Saying
?
Author Joe Navarro was born in Cuba in 1953, and his parents emigrated to the United States in 1961. Not speaking English at first, he embraced nonverbal communication in elementary school. He embarked on a career as an FBI agent and developed a focus on body language in counterintelligence. Through sheer observation, he was instrumental in exposing numerous spies or lying criminals. After 25 years of active service with the FBI, he also shared his knowledge by lecturing at universities. He published several books, this one was created through close analysis of his own experiences and scientific research.
Co-author Marvin Karlins is a trained psychologist and has combined the findings of the science of brain scanning and neuroimagination with the wealth of experience of the FBI agent.
