Preface
Entrepreneur
has become a buzzword. Many dream to be one, yet only a few truly succeed.
The term entrepreneur is often associated with individuals known for extraordinary achievements. While the likes of Sir Richard Branson and Chris Guillebeau are inspirational and powerful examples of entrepreneurialism, we should not forget that the entrepreneurial spirit is often closer to home. And once upon a time, Sir Richard Branson started out just like our everyday entrepreneurs.
Everyday entrepreneurs are those of us who have a dream and dare to take actions to make the dream come true. They are not that different from you and I except for their strong conviction, fearless attitude to make things happen and the willingness to break away from the day to day work grind that we are often part of.
It is the stories of these everyday entrepreneurs that we want to share with our readers, and hence the birth of the 10K Boss: the Power of Everyday Entrepreneurialism Book Project.
Why 10K?
The arbitrary figure was chosen to symbolise the challenges that everyday entrepreneurs face, particularly in the area of finance management and their admirable perseverance and creative ability to deliver in spite of challenges.
In this book, we share the stories of 3 everyday entrepreneurs from different industry sectors.
