Javier Rhoden
This was the introduction to my spirituality and learning how to do things for myself. The extension of help I gift to others could only come from the capacity in how I’ve helped myself. It was then, I understood that as a human, experiences were needed for growth and this growth can only sprout from branching out of my comfort zone. At the end of it all, I wanted to build something more meaningful by planting seeds from the darkness of life, to watch it grow and spread among different people, thus generating light. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I will die one day and in no way, would I want there to be any regret for making the same decisions the masses believed to be the right ones, meanwhile neglecting my gift as the last choice. After all, the goal in this life, my life, is to express this consciousness healthily.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5All I can say is that this book is amazing.
I picked this up last night, wanting to read just one poem, but I ended up reading all of them, the entire book. AND I DON'T REGRET THAT!. I can’t explain how much Luminescense made me feel when I was reading. So many emotions! I am sure that very soon I’llread it again !!
So, Currently I’ve had some personal problems and I have felt a little demotivated, but some of those poems arrived at the exact moment that I needed them.
Here I found a collection of very inspiring poems, each one shone in its own way and some of them left you thinking about your life, how your feel, your future, your decisions. I was amazed by the depth and honesty of the poems. The author writes about sensitive topics with piercing imagination.
I will share one of my favorites:
“transformation”
each waking day is a blank opportunity
to transform yourself into someone new
not everyone will be able to keep pace
of whatever habits you decide to change
just ensure you’re becoming the person
you’ve always envisioned being
a change of heart could be your card of spade
This is the first work that I read by the author but I’m sure that it won’t be the last.
Do not miss the opportunity to read this incredible work. Highly recommended !!
Book preview
Luminescence - Javier Rhoden
in order to be meek on this earth
you must face darkness, bandage areas that hurt
to watch crystals harden from a life force within
––––––––
life doesn’t have to make you salty, but with a little sprinkled
brings not only flavor, but preservation
in whoever you choose to become
be careful of what emotions you have entrapped inside
––––––––
this is luminescence
imperfection.
you never claimed the title of perfection
but skin have wept in brightness of stars
so when hands caress those scars
you’ll remain beautiful in openness of nakedness, this
is what becomes permanent
smile.
you’re most colorful with your smile
it’s why from nights when you’ve cried
lunar rainbows emerge from where your soul resides
show them why
radiance projects from where shadows hide
and how to become more brighter than sunlight
weight of love.
mirror, mirror on the wall
am i the most naïve of them all?
why does this world make me feel small?
––––––––
i’m left alone in hurt
when everything projects what’s bad in me
yet these eyes only see the good in others
––––––––
why does love feel so weighted by how much trauma one can take?
i feel bent to a point where i just might break
greener sides.
you destroyed yourself to keep him together
only to watch him walk away
to become a stranger
the planet to drift outside of your universe of emotions
––––––––
but understand your world will still turn
sometimes, you have to hold yourself hard enough
to keep everything in orbit
––––––––
it was his loss
so watch how everything grows strongly
from tears of rainfall
in the end, he’ll realize how your lands were undoubtedly
the greenest side
creation.
don’t settle for just anyone
you’re an extension of the creator
with gift to construct the very existence you’re living in
just remember it all starts with a choice
––––––––
so be careful who ends up as the decision you make
