    Good Morning! - Arthur Hofmann

    DAY 1

Good morning! It is a great day for a fresh start!

All you need is the desire and the commitment and you will succeed. Think of it as your new job and your compensation is that you are going to be a fitter you.

I believe the key is a trifecta:

    1. A bike ride. Go to your gym and get on an exercise bike and pedal as fast as you can for at least 30 minutes. Consider it your morning spin class.

    2. An intense swim for at least 30 minutes. In my opinion, the breaststroke is the best stroke because it exercises your upper arms and your core and your thighs (another trifecta!).

    3. A walk for at least 30 minutes at an aerobic pace.

    Voila. You are done!

If I can do it, so can you. Just take it one day at a time and you will reach your goal.

You must be your own best friend and not your own worst enemy!

    DAY 2

Bon jour! Aujourd’hui, c’est une autre belle journée dans le voisinage.

Alors, tu dois te lever et aller. Il n’y rien comme faire de la natation en plein air.

Just focus forward and do not look back!

    DAY 3

Good morning! Rise and shine! It is time to get back to basics.

It’s the beginning of a new day and what better motivation is there than that?

The goal each day is to raise and sustain your heart beat to an aerobic level. That is the key to success!

    DAY 4

Good morning! It’s time start your morning ritual of aerobic exercise. So have some yogurt and go fly on the bike or in the pool or both. You’re off!

You can add fruits (pineapple, mangoes, grapes and cantaloupe) to the yogurt or choose an energy bar instead and you must drink plenty of water. If you want to eat more, you have to exercise more. Remember it’s an equation: The more you eat, the more exercise you must do!

Don’t berate yourself. Each day gives you a new opportunity to achieve your goal. It takes time, effort and patience but you will succeed!

    DAY 5

Good morning! Try to develop a consistent routine and stick to it. I really think the key to my success has been riding the exercise bike each day as fast as I can (15 miles in one hour).

Try to follow the bike with a swim. It’s a sure fire one-two punch that will kick start your metabolism and make you feel like a million bucks. Remember to eat healthily but don’t starve yourself!

    DAY 6

Good morning! Today provides another opportunity to reach your goal! Just take it one day at a time and before you know it, you will be there.

Focus on going forward. When you exercise a lot, your body will crave food, so it is important to make good choices. Granola is a healthy choice but fruit is a better one especially at night. For breakfast, why not add a little bit of granola to some fruit and drink a glass of water?

    DAY 7

Good morning! We’re at the beginning of another day and what better prelude is there than a great exercise regimen? So get on that bike or get in that pool or get on that tennis court and whip your body and mind into great shape!

    DAY 8

Good morning! It is time to focus on your aerobic exercises.

    Tennis anyone?

    Perhaps a swim?

Or a jogette on the beach?

    DAY 9

Good morning! It’s good to take a break every once in a while. I only had time for a swim yesterday because we went to an allday wine blending event. Last weekend, I also just swam on both Saturday and Sunday because we went out of town for a visit with our kids and grandkids.

So, every so often, relax a little but not too much – do something simple like a quick swim or bike to keep the exercise juices flowing. It will reinvigorate you to start again in earnest tomorrow!

    DAY 10

Good morning and good luck! We’re off to a new day and a fresh start!

My personal opinion is that your body responds best when you develop a consistent routine on a consistent schedule, so why not develop one that works for you?

    DAY 11

Good morning! It’s another great day but then again every day is great! Remember to start each day with thanks and think of each one in your life for whom you are grateful.

Each day, I am grateful for my family and friends. This morning, I was thinking of a certain friend who introduced me to spin cycling while we were on a trip to New York. Otherwise, I would not be riding the exercise bike each morning like a maniac!

    DAY 12

Good morning! Seize the day and enjoy!

I hope you had a peaceful sleep and are well rested and prepared to focus on your goal.

Procrastination is your worst enemy. Therefore, it is important to just get up and go. Before you know it, the adrenaline kicks in and so do the endorphins. Pretty soon, you are high on Diet and Exercise!

    DAY 13

Good morning! It is time to rise and shine! Start the day right and bright and early by performing your daily Diet and Exercise routine.

It will make you feel great and make you ready to enjoy the rest of the day to the fullest!

    DAY 14

Good morning and welcome to a new opportunity! Each day brings you closer to your goal so continue to be relentless in your pursuit of it.

If you challenge your mind, your body will have no choice but to succumb - step by step, inch by inch - it’s a cinch!

    DAY 15

Good morning! It is time to rev up your engine for another day of Diet and Exercise!

As your routine becomes as regular as clockwork, you will see the results both in mind and body and you will become thoroughly hooked.

A day without Diet and Exercise is like a day without sunshine!

    DAY 16

Good morning! You can do it; yes you can!

    Rain or shine

    Toe the line

    In the rain

    It’s a pain

    Never whine

    You’ll be fine

    No excuse

    What’s the use

    Just do it

    To be fit!

    Never fear

    I am here

    We’re a team

    With a dream

    We’re a pair

    We’ll get there

Just you wait It’s our fate!

    DAY 17

Good morning! I’m running behind schedule this morning.

Sometimes you oversleep and it throws your routine off but, nevertheless, you must get up and get out and get the job done. Who cares if you’re a little late?

No one will know but you!

    DAY 18

Good morning! It is not so bright but very early! I don’t have much time today but I need my exercise fix. So I am swimming a third of a mile -20 minutes- in the pool. Every little bit counts!

    DAY 19

Bonjour! Nous sommes arrivés chez nous à 9h00 hier soir et maintenant nous sommes prêts à commencer notre travail. Et vous? Es-tu prêt à commencer votre
