To my
Grandma Meme...
Meme, you have inspired me beyond words in my faith growing up. You have stayed by my side in every step of life and never failed to encourage me when I needed it most. You share the love of God with everybody you meet, and ever since I was a tiny tot I could see the light of Christ shine through you. The passion you have for your faith has kept me going when times felt unbearable. You never gave up hope when I was at my darkest. You treat others the way Jesus would. You are a special human being, and I hope to be half the woman you are someday. Thank you for everything. XOXO

PREFACE
I wanted to write this book to share with you the lessons that God has taught me through my suffering, and how I could truly only overcome everything that I did through Christ. God loves you so very much, and I want to show you that no matter what you are going through, God is with you, and He is working out everything for your good. I am proud to call myself an overcomer through Christ, and I am confident that you are too.
CHAPTER ONE
39062.pngMy Story
G rowing up, I had a pretty happy childhood. I was an only child with two loving and happily married parents. I took dance, gymnastics, and cheer, and I played lots of musical instruments; I tried many more sports too. I had a really happy home life. I danced in the aisles at church, played in the woods and grass, dug my feet into the raw earth, did cartwheels on the warm sand of the beach, I went sledding in winter and drank hot cocoa, I played mermaids and fairy princesses, and I had a plethora of American Girl Dolls, Barbies, Polly Pockets, and Littlest Pet Shops. I was your typical little girl! I had a family who loved me, good friends, and a neighbor I liked to call my little sister. We were together constantly, and are still best friends to this day. My family was Christian, but we didn’t go to church every single weekend. Although our church attendance wasn’t perfect, my love for Christ started at a young age.
Little did that child know how much she would have to rely on that love in the future. Little did she know that her life would be turned upside down and broken, and the only way to mend it back together would be through her relationship with Jesus.
In second grade I started to get bullied by a couple of kids at school. The bullying was pretty severe, and there wasn’t any apparent cause for it. When I was seven years old, I heard the words you should just go kill yourself
for the first time from one of the kids. The bullying got out of control, so in the middle of that year, I switched to a private school. Everyone in my class at my new school was very nice. Third through eighth grade was amazing. I was a very blessed child, I got serious about my gymnastics and dance, and had a dream to pursue college gymnastics someday. Everything was going great!
High school rolled around, and I transferred from that small, private school to a public school again. The bullying came back, but this time it was even more severe. I was on the varsity cheer team and doing well in my classes, but I was still being told that I shouldn’t be alive and that I was a waste of space. I got ice thrown down my back, food thrown at me, and an Instagram account made for me titled I__h8_sabrina__blank.
When enough was enough, I switched schools again
