NEVER LEFT OR FORSAKEN
T his is my sixth book, and it looks like my God is doing something new in my life. Having been on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ forty-five years, I still have a fulltime job there. The 63 overseas trips to 27 countries have been indescribable adventures and blessings. I have shared most of them in my previous books. Because I am turning 85 on November 11 in ’22, my overseas travels have been denied. I could never forget those precious times and those new believers the Lord used me for. What a joy to have a part in their lives.
My sadness was relieved by a new vision from my beloved Creator. My first book came from notes I write after my quiet times or Bible studies. Posting my impressions keeps me in touch with my Savior on a daily basis and gives me the instructions and guidance He promised in Psalms 32:8. He says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will counsel you with my eye on you.
This is what I dwell on and claim often.
The forty-eight years since my God saved me, have been shared in my past five books and this one, and I will continue till my God says, all done.
As of 2022, my family has grown to twenty-five great grandchildren and my first two great-great grand kids. One of my great grandsons is in the Army and stationed in Hawaii and is finishing his service time. The great grandson that is in the Navy only comes home for Christmas.
My youngest son and family are living in Kentucky, where I get to visit once a year, all others are right around me, which I love. Being also a member of The Joy Company
, which is a ministry to city schools, is a dear blessing to me. This keeps me involved with about 28-30 high school youth for Bible studies, leadership training and sorted outreach activities. They have anxiously waited to finish Jr-high and now joined us for this new semester together with the seniors.
TEACHING YOUNG PEOPLE
IS SO SATISFYING.
E ven during the summer these beautiful and spiritual programs at the Joy Company, a ministry to High-Schools, run and are fully attended. These young people come faithfully because they want to be leaders in their schools and in their future jobs. We just graduated another twenty-two, and their parents attended the graduation, also, my times to teach at the city schools will resume as well. Of course, my job at CRU continues and is always a blessing and challenge to me.
We had a wonderful graduation ceremony at the Joy Co. at the end of July. Each of the 22 graduates came forward and gave their testimony of what they have learned in their class and what they hope to do with that. It is truly amazing how the Lord is leading them, and they love the Bible studies we give. I have become a mentor for four of our girls at Joy Co and I love being a spiritual
