    Dedication

During the forty-five years since I was saved and even before, there have been many who were positive influences and made a difference in my life. I could not name them all, but these few stand out in my mind and heart.

Irene O. Simes was my high school math teacher. She showed me unconditional love by her actions, example, and unending patience with me.

Sister Dorothy Shaw taught me how to yield more fully to the Holy Spirit and recognized what God was doing in my life.

Jane Hale let me sit at her feet and glean all the gems of her experience of the love of God. God awakened me as He took her home to Him in glory so I could rejoice with the angels.

Pastors Frank and Phyllis Dupree were the spiritual dad and mom that caused me to grow up and take on the call as never before.

Dr Sandy O’Connell introduced me to Kingsway Fellowship and paved the way for the continuing work God is doing in and through me with the help of that great fellowship.

Dr. D.L. Browning, Dr. Mildred Nation, Dr. William Jenkins and Sherry Jenkins, Dr. Lynn Nicholson and all the KFI staff, without whose support difficult times would be so much more difficult. A thank-you is not enough for all you do and who you all are to me.

And to all my family, near and far, natural and adopted, having you all in my life to experience loving and being loved is most precious of all.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR ALL HE HAS DONE!

    Preface

For years, I have felt a time would come to tell this story in part or whole for the glory of God. This is the time to start, and this will be the humble beginnings of my writing to share what God has done. I want to thank those who have given their time to read and critique and share in love as this story was put into a readable format. Thank you to Robin King, Carol Mercer, Bill Koch, Rosalie Baker, and Lynn Nicholson. Your help was priceless as was the encouragement to continue.

This will be the first book, with others to come, because God isn’t finished yet and there is much yet to share of what He has done and of what I have learned in the hope it will help to draw others to His great Love.

I pray this book will bless you and encourage you to draw closer to God, who loves you so very much.

I also want to thank my husband, Ron, who was left sitting alone many mornings and evenings while I took time to write. Thank you, Ron. You have always supported me, even when you were not sure why I was doing what I was doing. You are my greatest supporter in most of what God has me do.

    Chapter 1

    How It All Began

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. That Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all long suffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:15-17)

On the foundation of Paul’s confession, his faith and my agreement with him, I also held the title of chief sinner. I was able to accept that not only did Jesus die for sinners, but that I had not committed the unpardonable sin as I had believed, and that He was still able to save even me and for a purpose.

My conversion experience would seem out of the ordinary to many. First of all I, was brought up in a Christian-based home, where my dad had been a churchgoer. In the earlier years, he even taught Sunday school, but from the time I could remember, he only went to church with us on Christmas and Easter.

My mom, through their agreement, made sure that my brother and I attended Sunday school and church, if we wanted to, as well as, vacation Bible school in the summer months. My mom rarely attended and she confessed it was because she really believed in
