About this ebook

“A Bird’s Nest” is a collection of poems written in the teenage and pre-teen years of a woman. About love, hate, family, friends etc. When writing the poetry is simple and peaceful. This is what birds are to the world which is where the literature meaning of birds comes into play. There are a few poems written in the spirit of being a bird and the chapters are based on the journey of a bird. We all should live as free as a bird flying in the wind.

    A Bird's Nest - Sierra Kish

    -Interlude-

    A Bird’s Nest

    Making a nest

    Picking up sticks

    Scoping out the trees

    This one looks good

Fell out of the tree last night

    All the sticks blown away

    No where to go

    Little birdy alone and cold

    No fear

    Searching a little

    Healing a lot

    Making a nest

    Picking up sticks

    Scoping out the trees

    -Finding my Wings-

    The Eyes of the World

The world is either seen as

    Beautiful or Corrupted

    One’s eyes might see

    The forest

    With animals and rivers

    And happiness

    And sunshine

    And music

    Where others might see

    The woods

    With creatures and sounds

    And terror

    And monsters

    And gloom

Yet my world is quite blurry

I’m not sure what I see

I hear music and see gloom

    I see monsters and sunshine

    I feel terror and happiness

I do not see the world

    It sees me

    Let It

    If it came to it

    That the wind wanted
