About this ebook
I was born July 15, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri. I am the fifth of twelve children, six boys and six girls, born to my mother.
I grew up with a love for poetry and a deep respect for my mother and all women, a true romantic at heart with a love and talent for singing, but poetry has always been a true passion for me.
I am a caring and sensitive person. I have three children, two daughters, Jasmine and Leslie, and one son, Brian; they have always been my greatest joy. I am a Christian with a firm belief in the Lord. I now live in Texas and decided to share my heart with the world by sharing my poetry with everyone. I hope you like them.

LAST NIGHT I SAW YOUR FACE
Last night I saw your face, so wonderful, fresh and clear.
And all that pass through my mind, were the times we had so dear.
You look to be so close to me as if I were at home.
So now I know just how it feels to be so all alone.
I wonder if there’ll come a time, when I’ll see your face again.
And if there is I’d like to know, will we be more than friend?
I remember the fun we use to have, together just you and I.
And when I think of how it ended I often ask God why.
I saw your face last night, a wonderful sight to see.
So I thought to myself; can this loneliness really be?
I sit here and think if there’s a way I can keep from feeling
