Although it explores a variety of narratives, each poem is united by their sad undertone which is a constant throughout Lapis Lazuli. Reading Lapis Lazuli, you’ll find that the presence of sadness isn’t an absence of hope, but rather an expression of hurt, anger, heartbreak, distress, and many more emotions that we are sometimes unable to recognize, acknowledge or reveal.
