I wrote this book during a very difficult time in my life. During this time I had a great deal of emotional highs and lows, traumatic events, amazing miracles, growth, and reflection. My poems are the raw expression of those experiences. My feelings weren't always pretty or things I was proud of, but they were - and are - mine. I hope reading this inspires you to connect with yours as well, and accept yourself completely and unequivocally. Just as the ocean refuses no rivers, we too should embrace all our light and shadows with love

This is my second book of poetry written in quarantine. This book is a continued expression of the emotional highs and lows I have experienced being at home with my children ages 8 and 11, social isolation, and through changes in relationships. With my previous book there was more of a singular theme of love and longing for connection. This book has a greater range of raw emotions. I share them in vulnerability and hope that my feelings may touch others and make them feel less alone on their own emotional journeys.
