About this ebook

I have always expressed my joy and pain through poetry.

My husband was shot in 2014 and was wheelchair bound for two-and-a-half years. It is through the grace of God, hard work, resilience, patience and inner strength, that he was able to get out of the chair. He is my unsung hero! This poetry is a story of hope. Hence, the interest in sharing my story with everyone through this collection. May anyone who has lost hope find courage and motivation from these poems. When feeling lonely, lost and lifeless, just surrender to the Higher Being and your soul will tap into the deeper meaning of why you are on earth. You are fine as you are; run with the strength that you have.

Nomshado Zondani holds a Master’s degree in historical studies and several qualifications in education, municipal and public development, leadership and management of low-cost public housing. She has worked as an educator, senior education specialist, manager in housing and in the Office of the Executive Mayor and also at the Department of Human Settlements.

I was raised by a humble and loving family. My parents believed in me when I did not believe in myself. I appreciate the support and encouragement from my family, husband Luvuyo, mother, sister Duduzile, my special forces Thandeka, Nozuko, Samukele and Ratolahae. I hail praises to the almighty God for the inspiration and for expanding my territory.
