Feeling
When you feel all you feel, until you feel so alone
When you feel no one feels
Those feelings that feel you apart
Feeling that way is a gift and a curse
Yet feeling that way is the way you see
When you feel no one feels the way that you feel
You can feel someone feeling that way is me
Nest of Rest
Reenacting the manger
Soft days we’ve found
Tucked away
Our Christ has come-
Wonder, Redemption, Love
Wicked world
Vacuum away
In your eyes
A totem
of palace bramble
Tapis in twine
Sleek and feminine
rosy whines
Our Christ has come
Soft days we’ve found
Ostracized from the wicked world
In our manger-
Wonder, Redemption, Love
We create the dawn
Just out of reach
Soft fingertips of reckoning
We create everything in this manger
of bird bramble foliage
Found-
Holy trinity
Given to germinate with word
Inertia of wicked world
Crucifying itself, oddly enough
while laughing and bleeding gingerly
Thinking itself forgiven
by some heartless apparition
We create and consecrate this
time together
Vacuum away in your eyes
Tucked away
Ignorant of victory or defeat
Soft days we’ve found-
Wonder, Redemption, Love
Building Blocks
Allowing sweet sentiment
In waves~
Riptide and swoon-
Within me you float
Illuminating my vessel
like candle flame sangria
And what monumental price
In the face of this surrender
Is such warm evocation
Although stationary
You effortlessly dance and gaze
Unaware of my reflections
And taken aback to
puzzle piece shorelines
where my boat tires of awakening
amidst fickle, tethered tides
Vertiginous rhythms
Sound soothing Currents
Shade illustrating
the wistful release
I undergo at this moment
Unable to stop unfolding upon
Solar Glasses
We stood like figurines in the field-
Heads upturned and arms outstretched
Hearts pleading mercy from the sun
Our glasses each a different colored lens
Unknown futures glare like solar flares
Elusive essence of thoughts
Ensemble of pewter cardinals
fly away, slow motion
Halcyon eclipse
Living Vicariously
Been writing mournful songs
Been writing joyful songs
Yet my feelings are empty
on both sides of the street
A hot bath
of lightning and thunderstorms
Might try living dangerously
About due for awakening
Through with living vicariously
Been drawing my water
from storms of the past
What am I to do?
Might call on poor you
None of this ephemeralness
matters to last-
A vacation
from reanimation
Phases and feelings
long gone and subdued
Life’s Romance
I’ve been trying to write a simple song
So I’m spending some time alone
The way I used to, long before I met you
to get nearer
to see clearer
Myself and the sunrise anew
A song of the little joy that escapes
the thickest of pages
something commonplace
something all can taste
Without counting the sum of their ages
I feel it, but to spill it
is together far apart
So I’m taking this chance
starting at start
knowing no end
A simple song of life’s romance
This simple song’s for you-
Your calm shining through
All the mistaking and shapeshifting of truth
In gentle eyes
need no alibis
A simple song of life and you
Crisp Openness
Are you happy when your with me
or comfortably content?
How you soothe me
You know it’s simple
I know it speaks magnitudes
I’m a little cluttered now
But give me time
and I’ll sort it away
Grant me sweet time
I’ll make it OK-
Brought my issues
to this shore
Head tucked in lap
Could dance on fire
with mental smirks
or converse with Blake
Yet to express tenderness
for a beautiful girl?
So I dip my head in the water
Quiet myself
Allowing serenity to flood
-Coming to-
We were all beautiful as children
So I wonder to remember
little lofty gifts of flight
In my own time
In my own way
An angel? I could not tell with my organs
Softly floating and feathering lasciviously
Silent solicitude
Shapeless symphony
Reflected in your eye
Kneeling to your potion
Wrapped in your sky
Drowning in your ocean
Polar wanderings
Silent snowy orchards
Moons and stars shine wildly
Seeping from every crystal
Oh, sweet girl
My being glows
Forfeiting the struggle of consciousness
And I long to boldly pass
through your crisp openness
As I do this secret field
Implode In Space
I see in your eyes
the color has changed
The pause of your smile
Conclusions made
Ungrateful clouds
A rained parade
I know it so well
the words just fade
The moment you know, you know, you know
Flooding fourth
Eternal breach in space
My eardrums bleed
My brain is ash
Heart thumps bash with vertigo beats
The very air is hazardous gas
My eyes pop out
My dreary soul leaks
Would feign to stand
if I had feet
Why is love thought so neat?
Here I fade, decaying meat
Heard loss would make me joyful reap
A phoenix sword forged from the heat
But that’s just hype
An FN bleep
Oh, save me now
from life’s cruel sleep
Blinking, Staring
She awoke me in my
mummy bag of sleep
Closed windows
Different sides-
Blinking, staring
(screaming under water)
Beyond our grasp
Leaves me wondering?
Leaves me sickly
Past long and lone goodbyes
Am I healthy?
Am I listening?
Am I clouded to the sighs?
Walking around town
Up and down-
Kingdom of God
within me
Overwhelming feelings
Signs and symbols
Immutable Fortune
I never thought
our fire and rain would have to mix
But it did, so goodbye-
Cannot fuse with you
It hurts to wake up after being with you
Worrying is for women
Wondering if they can wrestle the wind
and make immutable fortune
a sensible friend
She packed her love into a suitcase
before she left
How heavy it must have been
(After this you’ll miss this night)
Find a woman
with roots in the earth-
Knows a little about loss
so a lot about worth
I walked away with
a different point of view
Put the old in my pocket
and stepped out for a view
I don’t need you to understand
I know in your simple way
It’s understood when you smile
and take my hand
I’m living for me
I’m living for you
Be what you have to be
Do what you have to do
Note to myself:
Thank you for making me feel welcome
Heartache Anew
It’s been so long
Since last, I saw you
I was sure I’d forgotten
