About this ebook
There are many different degrees of love. Absolute unconditional love doesn’t happen for everyone and sometimes doesn’t stay forever. I feel a sense of belonging like we’re soulmates and that together we are one.
When words fail to express your feelings for another, you may borrow mine by placing a bookmark at a certain page and giving it to the one you love.

I especially thank the following;
My son and daughter in-law Josh and Elisabeth, and my three beautiful granddaughters, Suzy, Charlotte and Tanika.
Karen for her encouragement and belief in my writing. Telling me often that my poetry is Hallmark worthy.
I also acknowledge the original authors of quotes used.
Where possible the names, birth and death dates have been included. A few original authors may not be credited, as many have been reprinted in various media multiple times. All have been checked for authenticity to the best of my ability.

Introduction
Once a poet, always a poet you could be.
I have been writing since my twenties and it’s always been a relatively easy process with a keyboard or a pen, to express what is in my heart or my head, or both.
When I feel passionate about something the words flow with ease. Moved, excited or overwhelmed and especially when in love, I write to express my feelings. Writing songs, poems, letters, keeping diaries and journals to express feelings or convey them to another has been done all throughout history to the present day. They are kept private between few or shared with the world.
At times five or more poems were penned, like auto writing without pause. I was once asked how I could keep writing more poetry, I then wrote ‘Words’, page 46. That simple line inspired the poem. The book title comes from the poem ‘Purple Diamonds’, page 98. They are the rarest of all diamonds and Australia has some of the highest quality found anywhere in the world. Wearing purple used to denote power and wealth. The colour purple has panache and a purple diamond’s prism is the most fractured when light is passed through it.
