    Acknowledgment

First, I would like to thank God for allowing me to make this my seventh project. Two which are anthropologies. I thank him for allowing me opportunities I would not have had without him.

My husband, James, my ride or die who’s always down like four flat tires. I love you babes and thank you for nine years of growth. I thank God for putting you in my life when he did. Thank you for being my best friend.

To my mother, Apostle Ruby Martin, thanks for teaching me and allowing me to understand who God is and what my purpose in life was about.

To my father, Morris Orrs, even though we are getting to know each other it’s been a blast and I thank God for bringing you in my life. God’s timing is always on time.

To my family members that I love so much and have been so supportive; Shanta’, Sholanda and Annette, with cousins like these, what more could a girl ask for. Thank you all for your continuous support. To my cousin, but like my sister, Cynthia Copland you have been there when I needed you the most. Thank you for being my big sister and most of all my backbone. You have never let me down and have always had my back. I love you.

To Evette Elder, Bernice Mitchell, Rasheba Major, Charlene Zeigler, Tabitha Jeffcoat, Camille Brewer Williams and Kisha Mayshack you are my ride or die chicks and the sisters I never had. To all of my children that I have had a part in your lives, thank you for allowing me to be a light in your life. No matter if I birthed you or not, you are all the loves of my life and I wish nothing but joy as you are now adults and I know God has you all.
