The Light unto My Path

It was only a few years ago when God shed his light on me and anointed me with the gift of writing poetry. He opened my eyes to understand from the scripture that I read. A powerful message came down from above and descended here on me. The grace of God bestowed on me the special gift that was given. It burns in my soul and lets the words flow on the paper it was written. May I thank him daily for what he has given to me. May my heart yearn to do his will, to use this gift he placed in me, to see the mighty hand of God, the creator of all things, who used a humble servant and made her a child of the king!

Accept each day as it comes.

Find God in the midst of it all.

Remember you cannot fix all

the problems around you.

Commune with me and you will find.

It is God that can clear out this clutter

that seems to be in your path.

He can bring joy and make you laugh.

He brings peace to a troubling soul.

Stay in touch with me.

The day will be special.

God will walk along side of you.

Fellowshipping together amidst all the cause.

We can walk right through this mire.

God will set your soul on fire.

This could be one of your better days.

Focus on me, bow your head in prayer.

You will find God is already here!

What is life meant to be?

Living and working along side of me.

Depend on God always.

Your outlook on life changes.

You begin each day in prayer and praise.

Your attitude is one of love.

Praise and harmony that comes from above.

The Holy Spirit that abides in you.

A gift from God.

You can have it your whole life through.

Your calm assurance from stress and strife.

You accomplish much by depending on me.

To guide and direct the day in front of thee.

This is our bright future together.

Letting your light shine.at all times.

Your day is not a daily grime.

I abide in you and you in me.

Together we achieve the victory!

You are a channel through whom

I can comfort others.

The Holy Spirit I have placed in you.

It removes the old and replaces it with

the new.

Listen and learn from the words I have

written

Help others to see and believe in me.

Their life will be changed immediately.

Each day they will grow in grace.

Their old self will be erased.

To be one in Jesus you will feel whole.

To become more like Jesus as each day

unfolds.

This should be your goal!

A Darkened Heart

Once your heart was in a darkened state.

You sought to know the lord.

To follow him in every way.

To learn from him and live his way.

God poured his light into your soul.

Now a beacon of light you are to other’s.

Your part is to reflect God’s glory.

To be his witness speaking the gospel’s truth.

There is no room for pride.

All glory belongs to God.

He is the great I Am!

A Faint Glimmer

The faintest glimmer of my presence should

brighten your day.

Knowing you are with me guiding my way.

My hopes and dreams are in your hands.

In obedience I will follow your commands.

Help me to step up and reach out to a lost

soul today.

Trusting in you to show me the way.

The two of us together can accomplish

great things.

Let my voice ring out and sing praising

you in song.

Thanking you that I belong.

I am your child forever to be.

Together we will achieve the victory!
