About this ebook
Lavona Mwanza
Born in Western Cape, I spent my childhood years in a place called Bonteheuwel. At the age of 17, I relocated to Gauteng with my family and resided in Eldorado Park, with my parents. At the age of 20 I got married and had my first child, Wesley. Within a year and two months, I was graced with a daughter Robyn-Leigh and five years later blessed with another daughter named Courtneigh. The last born became such a blessing unto me, as she introduced me to the interactions of a little girl growing up. Little things I missed out on with my first daughter.) I started my career in the Financial Industry at the age of 18 and continued in that industry for 29 years. At the age of 47 I decided that it was time to follow that which has been a burning desire for many years. In my role as a leader, the desire was ignited to equip, guide and coach individuals and with time it intensified. . I then pursued my training in this area and in 2012 I successfully completed a course in Life Coaching, as well as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and was certified as a NLP practitioner and Life Coach with COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of SA). I currently practice in the area of Personal Development Coaching, Group Facilitation, Career Coaching, Relationship and Marriage Coaching (in conjunction with my husband, who also shares the same passion and vision).

The content of this book is aimed to share some of my own transformational highlights that I’ve encountered on my journey of life, because it surely created a deeper awareness of how our experiences in life shape us as individuals.
FOREWORD BY PRISCILLA MORLEY
The Chinese philosopher, Lao-Tzu says that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
. The content of this book was part of that single step I took on my journey in view of my personal development. I became acutely aware of different emotions I was feeling at different points of the book.
Lavona approached me about assisting with the editing and writing the foreword at a time when I was facing personal challenges in the form of a mother who had undergone an operation and was not healing as quickly as we would have wanted her to, a relationship that ended between myself and my partner and me being on a journey of self-discovery. So as you can well imagine, I did not feel equipped to be part of this project. Little did I know, this project was exactly what I needed on my personal journey.
While reading this book, I went back and read the content of every single chapter over and over again. The content resonated with me, as it touched on every single aspect of my life and I wanted to process the information. I wanted to apply it to situations I was dealing with and utilise the lessons to try and make sense of my thoughts and feelings and move towards improvement. I found all that right here!
I am extremely proud and honoured to be writing this foreword for her. She is my idea of a role model for woman. She is loving, friendly, caring, honest, smart and completely committed to the personal development of each and every person she comes into contact with. She definitely knows what she is speaking about when it comes to personal development, as she has used her own experiences, both good and bad, while writing this book. Every time we met and discussed the book, she would ask me whether what she was saying, was going to make a positive impact in the lives of the readers. Her concern was more for you and me, the readers, and whether the lesson she wanted to impart, came across clearly.
The book formed part of my transformational journey. It was that single step I needed to take. Make it part of your journey!
