This is a collection of my lifes experiences, events and occurrences that I have taken and put into poetic theory. These are private thoughts, feelings, and expressions of love, life and relationships as well as a few other things that I am passionate about. Nothing about this work of art is fictional or made up.
I thought that maybe if I could share some of my experiences with the world, maybe someone can be helped, maybe I can ease someone elses pain, pass on the healing in word. My sincerest wish is that my Poetry touches the heart, soul and mind, that it inspires love and healing for someones heart and soul. That it teaches us that life is so very short and that love is the most precious gift that one can bestow on another. When you find love and its real, keep it, nurture it, be honest with it, treasure it and above all else place God first in it. Never let anyone interfere in what is only for you.
People say that you cannot find your true love when you are a child, a teenager, because after all what could we possibly know about love at that age, but I am living, breathing proof that this is not true. I found my true love at 18 years of age, he knows who he is (Moe).Thank you so much for showing me what real love feels like, what it should be. I am so sorry that I was not mature enough, was too nave to handle it. You will always, always be the love of my life. And you will always be missed.
These poems are reflections of experiences that I have had with individuals that have come into my life, whether for a moment, a season, or just to teach me a life lesson, you all have inspired me in some way, shape or form, but you shall remain nameless, if you ever get the chance to read this work, you would be able to tell who you are, and how you have helped me whether it was in a positive or negative fashion. You have all helped me to grow in some way, and I strongly believe that what does not kill you makes you stronger.

CHAPTER 6:

MARRIED MEN

Introduction: Ladies I fell in love with a married man, which is definitely wrong, but our hearts want what it wants. I met this man through my best friend, as he was also very close to her. She knew what I had just gone through. Did a slick move and let us meet by accident. She told me all about his problems all about the cheating spouse, the abuse, and the neglect of the family. As I know this man, he is devoted. I believe that had the wife been doing what she needed to do, he would have never looked twice at me. And even though that little warning voice said, don’t do it. I did it anyway. It was doomed from the start, but again the heart wants what it wants….It was exciting, wonderful, precious, passionate, and the love was genuine….but I believe because we were in sin, that we had to part. And because he could not make the decision, I had too, and it tore our hearts apart. The endless tears and struggles, just trying to see him, it was pure agony. So Ladies, even Gentlemen, if you are in this type of relationship, ask yourself, what if my husband/wife was out doing to me what he/she is doing to him/her? Whether the relationship at home is good or bad, he/she choose them, not you….by the time he/she realizes that, it was the wrong choice, it was too late, now comes the heartbreak

CHAPTER 8:

LOVE: IT’S OVER……AND IT HURTS!!!!!!!

Introduction: Friends this chapter describes what we feel when love ends and the pain comes crashing down upon us, when we can’t get any sleep, when we can’t breathe because that person is no longer with us….No matter what you do, so you can’t get them out of your mind, every song on the radio is a song that you and he/she danced to, or reminds you of them. Every place you go is painful, as the two of you shared happy moments there. Your family who loves this person, thought they were the best thing that ever happened to you, want to know what happened? Why did you two break up? And now it’s worse, because no matter what, that person had become a member of your family. And next your children if you are blessed with them, will ask where Mommy or Daddy are? What do you say to them? Hopefully some of these words will help you survive it…..and lastly know that God has your back no matter what, He will bring you through, although it’s hard to realize that someone you gave your heart and soul too, someone you let into your spirit in the end was truly not meant for you.

And now the pain begins……..

To my Other Mom, who is actually my Great-Aunt Julia Townsend, to whom I promised that I would get this book in print, my apologies for taking so long, this book is dedicated to you. You were our Big Mama, our family has not been the same since your passing, but I promise you we are working on it. I especially want to thank you, for when I felt that I was alone in the world, that no one would listen, no one loved or cared for me, no one was there for me…. You were!

You were there Aunt Julia, you were my strength, you held my hand when I felt like the world had beat me so badly that I couldn’t go on, you have always listened to me, always would hold me and tell me everything would be okay, you always dried my tears. You would always listen no matter what you had to do, you were always, always there for me, and I love you beyond all else. You always told me that no matter how hard life became that God would take care of me; all I had to do was talk to him….

You were my Best Friend, My Mom, and My Mentor, I miss you so much. I still cry over you’re not being here, but I realize that you will always be here deep in my heart and that I can still talk to you. You were and are my strength; you gave me the will to succeed at anything that I set my mind to. You taught me how to be a Woman and how to Respect myself. I know that since your passing, I have fallen short of a lot of those life lessons, but even so I can always hold my head up no matter what the pain or circumstance. You were the strongest woman that I knew and you still to this day hold that title. And you have made me into the strong woman that I am. How can I say Thank you for that?
