From the Heart: Poems and Meditations
()
About this ebook
From the Heart presents poems and meditations written from 1997 to 2011 that relate to true feelings and personal experiences that can be felt and experienced by the reader. They are about love, life, and actual places that author Kias Emmanuel Creech has been to.
Kias Emmanuel Creech
Kias Emmanuel Creech began writing poetry in 1987, at the age of 14. He loved putting his thoughts and feelings down on paper. From that first poem, he wondered what all his heart had to say and it didnt take him long to realize that words really are power. When someone can relate to something he has written; if it can make them feel better, smile, even cry, it is a gift to that person to help them with what means something to them through his writing. Also published by Kias Emmanuel Creech are From the Heart and Literary Coffee Break.

Uncertainty
I’m not sure what to say
But I’m certain how I feel
Everything I’m feeling
Is painful & too real
I’ve tried hard not to show it
I’ve tried hard not to say
But every time it touches me
There’s no words to convey
For anything this powerful
just cannot be spoken
it’s as delicate as glass
and yet cannot be broken
chaotic are the thoughts
that run deep in my mind
painful yet so soft
that they wound me every time
I tried to make provisions
I tried to heal the pain
but sorrow flows within me
and, as blood, runs through my veins
I see a piece of coal
but to me a diamond shines
destruction seeks my heart
like a coming sign of times
I really want to love you
but my hearts not quite sure how
my minds too scared to try it
but it’s way far too late now
I try to keep my chin up
I try to shield my heart
but it’s on the verge of breaking
every time we are apart
Please don’t take me wrong
and don’t be lead astray
there are only good intentions
in all I do & say
but hurt is repetitious
and grips me every time
it’s hard not to believe
that I’ll get hurt again this time
I didn’t mean to hurt you
cause I know this sounds so cruel
but it’s coming from a wounded
lonely, desperate love-sick fool
just dumb enough to try it
just weak enough to fall
just wishing that I knew
if you loved me much at all
