I CAME across a post by author Daniel Pink on LinkedIn that got me thinking. He’s written several books about regret, mindset and motivation and I value the perspectives he shares. This post made me pause because of how insightful the answers to his questions could be.
He writes: “When life throws you a curveball, ask yourself three questions. 1 How might this change what you’re capable of ? 2 How might this change what you value? 3 How might this change how you define yourself ?”
Life is constantly throwing out curveballs – as I write there’s a taxi strike going on in the Western Cape with devastating consequences for our teams, our readers, our friends, families and communities. There’s loadshedding, financial issues, medical challenges, global warming . . . All awful on a large and small scale.
But what if these questions offered us a different way to consider
